Why didn't this happen with Katrina? Now that it is the Jerey shore they want New Yorkers and Nw Jerseyans to shoulder the burden of the higher flood insurance. We need to get the shoreline in the northeast back to the conditon it was in prior to Sandy. Tourism is a large part of the economy in both states. If we raise the flood insurance ths will cause mass selling of AS IS properties and the shore area will never recover. The tax burden for these small shore comunities will be massive...
