Too true, I had ovarian cancer in 2004, luckily it was caught early.I now have secondary tumours in my lymph system which I have to live with

I'm in my fourth year as an ovarian cancer survivor. I have had several recurrences and am learning how to treat this as a chronic disease. Ovarian cancer is a neglected cancer in terms of attention and research.

I prefer local organizations where I know exactly where the money is going, which is to people with cancer and not organizations that scarf up the funds to cover administrative costs.

Prostate Cancer - my father just passed away from this and it's something that is happening more and more. They say that Prostate Cancer has the lowest death rate in men, but that is changing and more research needs to be done. Development of new medications is slow and somethings needs to be done about this.

Not sure if you are talking about US organisations but in the UK there is a voluntary organisation called Macmillan Cancer Relief. It supports people through a nursing service, a volunteer service and also money and benefits advice.
