If you listen to progressive radio, you know that our presence is needed in the streets. Let's work together and have activity everywhere there was an occupy group. We MUST educate the low information voter before 2014! (Copy/Paste this message to your groups and friends).
REMINDER MESSAGE: If every organization asks you to come to an event, and they are all on different days, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO GO? HOW DO YOU CHOOSE?
We are asking the ORGANIZATIONS to hold ONE protest a month. (at least) that we can ALL attend, and we can SPEAK on ALL the issues. And still meet our overbearing employment duties.https://www.facebook.com/groups/protestonthe14th/
Marcia, thanks for this organizing prowess! Will join in when I finish my projects.
I hope that you will join in before that. Your projects will never finish. You will always have more. We all have more. This is designed to cover many projects in one. But it will only work if we do it. ONCE A MONTH. And we needed to start last year so we need to HURRY and get our friends to join us. It's only one day for about an hour or two, not far from where we live so the expenses should be minimal. There are activist organizations that will be happy to give us fliers if we ask them but you need to ask early so they can mail them to you.
I just need to know what towns you're able to reach out to that are near you. (This should not be expensive trips to DC) I need to know that you can ask people to join you (be careful facebook frowns on friend making HUNH?) we can be creative if we want, with drums, or themes, but let's get people to show up first. And TAKE PICTURES!!!
Sounds like a plan to me :-)
Have you created an event for Elizabeth City or are you coming to Raleigh?
Very happy being involved in marching against Monsanto on May 25th, and looking forward to the 14th of every month thereafter. I am looking forward to get together with other groups and activists with issues and share ideas and learn and teach others to make aware. I am also interested in non-violence meetings in Southern California. Tabling, internet blogs, rallys, etc.
The Pink Party has already taken over my town...but seriously Marcia, good job. That's quite a commitment to ask people. Getting organized as a team of ten is a good idea that we should all consider. In fact, I'm doing it too, and want to work with you too. I'm sure you'll be hearing about this more by next month!
I need you all to let me know the small cities you are willing to go to. So that people who join can go with you. I need to start planning for April 14th if you're really here to help.
I'm organizing an several elections which peak on July 4th and 5th, and one of the regions being covered in the 2013 elections is North Carolina.
The 2013 Schedule includes simultaneous political (ss=super-state) and company (ss=sub-stations) elections and the political and news company are synchronized: The Monterey County Micro-state (ss11-6-8), First Nor Cal (ss11-1) & Los Angeles (ss11-9) Mini-state, the Mid-Atlantic Super-state Parliament Elections (ss4) and the All Party System Co...

Also anybody that comes will you please "friend" me. From time to time I'm grounded by facebook.
I'm willing to organize protests in North Carolina, in the following areas: Clayton, Wilson, Angier, Fuquay Varina, Garner, Holly Springs, Willow Springs, Smithfield, Dunn, Erwin and Raleigh
