So a company on it's own decides to do the right thing, while no others do, and you want to pressure them into further expense and work to do this in 2 years instead of 5! Thank you whole foods for giving a hoot about you patrons!
We vote with our money. Another thing you may want to pass on to any Veteran or their family: Monsanto made Agent Orange and secured a lofty government contract. RoundUp is the offspring of Agent Orange. Boycott Monsanto's Roundup too. Our corrupt government will never act unless we $$force$$ them to.
Why wait until 2015 or 2018 to label GMO foods & just do it now & we both deserve & should have the right to know what we are really eating & really buying especially more so since places like Whole Foods are health food stores & all stores should do this since our health is so important! If possible grow your own food that way you have some control of what you are putting in your own body & especially that of your family & support your local farmers too!
We need much more involved in this war against Monsanto!
I am sick of being pushed around and lied to constantly by rich a--holes who only care about the profits they can make. We never had to worry so much when the food we ate was grown in this country. I agree with Rick C Moore because it is up to us to buy and eat what is good for us. Read labels and decide who you really want to support. Peace
As dedicated Whole Foods shopper this would be a real help to me and others who are trying to avoid consuming and using GMO foods and products. The Good Earth in Fairfax, CA (Marin County) is doing this year. I and a lot of folks will be shopping at Co-ops and small health stores that will be adopting these practices. Whole Foods should not be waiting, this is an extreme market advantage, not to speak of it the right thing to do!
It's clear that no matter what Whole Foods does or how far they go in their efforts to change the face of supermarkets all over the world for the better, they will never be doing enough for you people. This corporation is part of the reason most of you people have any awareness of the terrible things that are being put into our food in the first place. You have no idea what it takes to research each and every ingredient that each and every product contains all the way back to the seed that...
It's clear that no matter what Whole Foods does or how far they go in their efforts to change the face of supermarkets all over the world for the better, they will never be doing enough for you people. This corporation is part of the reason most of you people have any awareness of the terrible things that are being put into our food in the first place. You have no idea what it takes to research each and every ingredient that each and every product contains all the way back to the seed that grew it. To do this for millions of products and then demand that those vendors spend money and put their necks out to label their products, most likely taking a substantial hit in sales, is no easy thing to do. If you think this could be accomplished in two years (one person said 'one month') you live in LA-LA-LAND and should come back to reality. How about appreciating and supporting a company that puts so much money and effort into something as game changing as this instead of continuing what I see all the time... Calling it out as not good enough, as if they haven't changed the world already.
A French study done with rats, who were given GMO food for 90 days showed the rats were growing tumors as big as a third of their bodies.
Please revise this petition to require non-GMO and GMO labeling NOW, this year 2013! ASAP and I would like to see all stores follow this labeling responsibility example.
Vive Philosophia - In my country if Whole Foods Market to Label... people will be starved... because under the Communist regime to rule a nation: let them eat less, even the bad food, and forcing them to work hard! But I sign the petition because I Have A Dream of Freedom for Vietnam, Tibet….
