Trust me when I agree with Joanna, I hope to god you guys that try these, that your dogs do not get hurt because of negligent owners. I would tell people my pit bull was a little iffy and they would say oh no it will be OK. I would always go a little farther out and there was always somebody out there too, which they have a right to be. Ii always had to keep my dog on a leash because she was an iffy girl and I did not want her hurting or killing another dog......I would not be able to live with myself if that ever happened.

I would NEVER say it will be ok with a pitbull. I've seen how vicious & unpredictable they are. Anyone who would trust one of them must not be too bright.

No. I lost her last year. But the Blue nose pit I have now is so sweet and goes to doggie day care daily.

To Jo, I own one of the biggest real estate schools here where i live so i think i am pretty smart and successful. It is the owner not the dog.

I have pitbulls who are afraid of the other dogs from the streets and allow all cats stay on top of them, gentle and very devoted.Depends how they are educated and they are the image of their owners. As any dog!

WHAT A GREAT IDEA FOR OUR PETS IDENTIFYING THEIR STATUS -

Tried in UK and a BIG TIME FAILURE! the cynical PB folks would put green tags on their dogs who would then get close and attack the smaller more vulnerable dogs. ANd the PB owners here in the states are just as bad and even worse. Each dog owner has to be alert to the changes and the moods and behaviours of their own dogs at ALL TIMES and not rely on these codes... DON"T DO IT... this is a very very very BAD IDEA.

Whatever happened to people talking to each other? Unless you have a dog in a country where you don't speak the language this is silly. Anyone responsible enough to buy the tag would be responsible enough to open their mouth and say something to you as they approached, or as often is the case, they take their potentially dangerous and cranky dog to the other side of the street out of respect. I always as a rule ask every dog owner if their dog is friendly before approaching the dog either with or without my dog.

www.gulahund.se What is Gulahund - Yellowdog?
Gulahund is a worldwide campaign to support sensitive dogs who need more space or time to move away from both people and animals.

By using a YELLOW ribbon, bandana or similar on the leash or the dog, we can now show others that this dog needs more space.

I think this a very good idea and people can see from a distance where the dog stands, we can only hope everyone knows there dog well enough to use the system properly and safely.
