WHY..WHY are these beautiful animals being destroyed, for heaven's sake, leave them alone in their environment, who the heck do these so called human beings think they are, to order there killings, I find it so upsetting, what harm are the wolves really doing? Don't they kill prey, as they need to feed, versus human beings killing for the sake of it, and think they can get away with it..Shame on you..... LONG LIVE THE WOLF...KIA KAHA..STAY STRONG....

I already did this , and my congressmens office asked me to email them information. I did that as well , along with Oregon's success with non lethal detourants.

I give Oregon credit for using non-lethal methods,
and respecting Nature's iconic wonders..
(as opposed to the hostile Old West "lynch-mob" mentality of
Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming, whose local-yokels only care about
their bloated egos and maintaining the status quo of the
barbaric 19th Century).

So many people on our little planet, less and less space for wildlife, all wildlife should be given legal protection, and all natural habitats must be protected.

That is an understatement, I'm praying the worlds governments get their U no whats together & start making room for wild habitats to rebuild, it'll mean preventing human overpopulation which some may find offensive.

There is a mega problem in Oregon after the government, sticking its nose in, against the will of the people, and Native American Tribal Membersa, dumped tons of fast breeding wolves into a limited population of elk and deer.

Packs of 35-wolves are decimating the elk, deer, and when they are scarce, farm livestock. Any camper, backpacker, hiker, or farm family member unlucky enough to be in their line of site and terror, may meet their maker that day. I believe in live capture and sending...

Packs of 35-wolves are decimating the elk, deer, and when they are scarce, farm livestock. Any camper, backpacker, hiker, or farm family member unlucky enough to be in their line of site and terror, may meet their maker that day. I believe in live capture and sending them to zoos where feasible. Just like cats and dogs, you cannot have something that carnivorous, and fast breeding, taking over the environment.

I ask this question, "Don't the elk and deer have a right to exist too?"

Five wolf litters will decimate one calf elk and deer populations, and wolf packs even kill for sport too!

Eric, The wolves are not decimating herds, there has not been an incident yet of human death, and further more they do not kill for sport. Do some research, I think you are smarter than that!

Further more ask hunters and ranchers if they think, their prey has the right to live, after they have shot and killed it- Did they even say "thank you" to the animals spirit after the kill... A life is a life, and I am pro life, let nature take care of the ecosystem and let man keep his frickin nose out of it.

Ive had a very strange question of those who are following this Cause. I spoke to representatives from the US Fish and Wildlife Service who explained to me some very fair points that it would be rather odd to need this campaign to protect wolves when they already are protected in most states automatically **already**. So calling for us to contact the FWS (Fish and Wildlife Service) to protect the Wolves isn't really required. The issue here being pointed out to Causes members is that Montana has a specific problem on its laws and "trapping" was also discussed by me and I was informed that there is a 5 year review monitoring program in place (yes apparently in Montana and everywhere else) to make sure that levels of wolves are at or above their minimums and not hunted down to below those minimums in order to protect the wolf population and whilst it is possible for somewhere like Montana to introduce a hunting season that Dog Baiting is not allowed and that wolf kills have to be declared by anyone so that the legitimacy of a wolf kill is verified. For example a wolf could only be killed if it was say attacking livestock or posing a threat to humans. A wolf cannot be killed by dogs or trapped for example as this is not allowed and can only be hunted in a humane manner and the FWS claim that to say otherwise is a fallacy being put around by things like this Causes group. Now don't get me wrong, I rang the FWS to chew them out and ended up finding out that perhaps some of what is being put in this Causes rally may not be the way things actually are. Can anyone out there explain to me if the FWS are feeding me a line or if this is correct. They also quite fairly pointed out that many US states have never had Wolves so wouldn't even need protection measures. Just posting to get some senible reactions to what I was just told by FWS staff. Don't shoot the messenger please. So in essence are there exaggerated claims on this specific cause being put around? If the evidence is there for illegal hunting and trapping this should be reported to the police and FWS as a crime. Thoughts anyone.

The name of the group is Stop Wolf Trapping in Montana because that was the first petition I did on causes.com, and the name and photo became recognizable. When I tried to change it, all of the comments disappeared. That being said, please do some research. The USFWS is definitely proposing to remove Endangered Species Act protection of wolves in the remaining 48 states that have not already had this protection lifted. There is a lot of of press about this, and I suggest you do some...

There is a lot of of press about this, and I suggest you do some Google searches. Plus, due to word count restrictions from causes.com, I was unable to include the names of the Representatives who already signed the letter. Why would the Representatives stick their necks out if this proposed action by the USFWS is not true?
