I would like to add an additional concern. While nutrition, education, safety are certainly important issues, one that rarely gets serious attention is the issue of emotional neglect/abuse. Because the scars are invisible this form of suffering largely goes unaddressed. I would like to see people concerned about children being put in long hours of daycare -- sometimes over 50 hours a week. I would like to see people as concerned about children's emotional needs and mental health as they are with their educational and physical needs.
Sasha, you're right - emotional abuse is a very serious and often invisible issue. Have you looked at causes.com/discover for related campaigns? If you can't find a campaign raising awareness about emotional abuse, you can also start one: causes.com/causes/new!
Thank you Emily -- I will look.
asylum seeker and refugee children, their exposure to trauma and torture, their lack of stability and safety, their constant fear.
You're right - refugee children undergo huge trauma... What do you think that countries that offer asylum can do to help those children?
i just hate child abuse and the person related to this if i have a power then i should punish them and strictly band this types of work
children not having access to proper nutrition or adequate food. goes for their families too. also educating parents of children in the US about nutrition for their families.
children begging in road, working in small scale companies, children sent by their own parent for money ,,, should be strictly banned.,
children's begging in road, working in companies, and children sent by their own parent for money should be stopped..
child abuse I hate those who do such things.
a child is the purest gift given by GOD to humans and v r seeing inhumanity with them its a shame on our society n v too.
Every aspect is cruel in its own way, nothing can be compromised or given lesser consideration.
Right to childhood... Every child should experience the joy of exploring, reasoning, creativity & amazement.
Give them the right to childhood... Every child should experience the joy of exploring, reasoning, creativity & amazement.
