Wildflowers,La Linea de la Cocepcion-2013.Beautiful.
I use a special shopping bag when I go food shopping.
I volunteer at a thrift store and recycled more items today to keep them out of the landfill......
it might not be too much but i tell my students everyday to take care of the plants, to recycle paper, plastic bottles.... to think about the world and their future
My daily work is dealing with agriculture. I do my responsibility outside the house by action. Not just talking like a dreamer on the computer.
wait plant a tree , while your new house was in a plowed field, while malls cut down 100's and road work kills 1000's are you people so dumb..wipe out 100's of full grown tree's and plant 1 that's 3 ft high.. get real
1 tree planted is 1 more tree giving back have. It will grow...
Thank you Dell! where are the trees being planted?
Hey Travis, the trees are planted here: http://www.conservationfund.org/projects/upper-ouachita-national-wildlife-refuge/
I am also going to start planting my perennial garden.
I'm going to lose less energy and less packaging.
Planting trees is a great way to help Earth. But what we really need to do is cut down on green house gas production. The trees absorb a lot of carbon dioxide, but they can't absorb nearly what humans are producing. Try to use less energy and bike or walk whenever possible.
Did you know that clouds absorb carbon dioxides too? love that!
I pledge to cut down only one tree today
I will plant more butterflies and bees attracting bushes and rehab an old shed into a planting shed ! I will prune and fertilize the mature garden to gain beauty and strength! Recycling clippings every two days! Love it! <3
Thank You Tom Neyland! Maybe you can sign the pledge! :)
I plan on starting our own garden this year and adding some trees to our sparse landscape. A new windbreak and extra insulation will help our drafty country home use less energy and I have already gotten my hands on a FREE high efficiency furnace. Thanks Granddad! I already recycle all types of metals, but I have noticed that we throw away a lot of plastics and those could all be recycled. We don't have recycle pick up, so if anyone knows of a good plastic recycling point near Marion, IN 46952 e-mail [email protected].
Great Phillip! One thing you can do is visit www.earth911.com - they are national organization and you could put in specific materials and your location. For example, it lists the Wabash Country drop-off site in Lafontaine.
