Least we can do for an amazing person. So sorry for your loss.
Ken, my sincere sympathy to you and your family. I knew Gary thru my work at the Crime Lab (retired now) and my ex husband is a Sgt with the SO. He was a great guy. God Bless you and your family.
I am honered to sign this for you....
Ken, my condolences to you and your family. This was such a tradgedy.Your brother will be greatly missed.
In Law Enforcement we're all brothers/sisters...he was our brother too. My condolences to you and your family for your loss
I did not know your Brother. However, I do know many like him. Throughout the time of mourning and during the grief process, the bond between everyone in the criminal justice system is solidified. There are no jurisdictional boundaries, and there are no strangers. Everyone shares the loss, and everyone feels the pain and sorrow. Wide reaching support is extended to the families of those left behind. Of course, my heart goes out to you and your family. Everyone tries to remain strong and...

I would recommend Midway Road which is scheduled to be expanded and is directly in front of SLSO as opposed to Oleander. I understand the reasoning behind Oleander but the unincorporated portion is not a flattering site.
Great suggestion Kurt!
nothing is flattering about all of it, The SO on Midway Rd was named after Steve (who I loved) So can we not name Oleander after Gary, I did not know him personally but want all to be respected, I thank Lisa for all she is doing ....Sorry we do not all live out of the city???
God everyday for what
Sean Badwin and Dennis Mcwilliams did for Jimmy and Grover Cooper
that would be Chief Baldwin and Dennis Mcwilliams, computer sucks, I say go for it, I appreciate all they have done, Name that road after Sgt Gary Morales ....and get over Midway Rd...
Stick with your plan
I made the change to the petition to have Midway Rd renamed. Thank you all for your support of this cause.
Hugs to Michelle.
Yes, by all means do so. Let's honor this fallen hero. That's the least the community can do. Yes, I fully suppot this effort.

So sorry it would not let our signatures through, saying the zip code was invalid. Still sending our total support. No one is more deserving.
Put Wendy's zip code 34953 as you all are looking for a winter home here anyway.
Thanks Shayna will try this. Feel our arms around you.
Seriously? Though I am sorry for the loss that this family has suffered, this officer was a second responder to a routine traffic stop; how is it that the offender was able to exit their vehicle with a weapon, and commit this crime?
I did not sign the petition
Please read the full report before commenting negatively on something so tragic... he was the first and only officer there at the time of the shooting.
There is no such thing as a routine traffic stop!!!!! Nothing about being an officer is routine!!
Lisa how can you even make such a negative comment?? It does not matter if he was first or 100th he was killed in cold blood for NO reason. He left two little girls without a daddy and a wife with no husband. The animal who did this should get the death penalty and it should be carried out swiftly. I do not know him but my heart goes out to his family. Nobody deserves to be killed in the line of duty.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Morales family and the sheriff's department.
being from a former MP in the army, I hate seeing this happen to fellow officers especially local heros. RIP Sgt! and thank you!
ALL SIGNED HARRY!
God bless him and your family. #thinblueline
