Why is it always the dog who has to suffer. Why don't people keep their kids close at hand to watch them, what they are doing. If this child was hitting or aggravating this dog its only normal that the dog is going to defend itself. Please think twice before you take the dogs life.

I've just sent an angry e-mail to these incompetent officials:
Here's what I wrote (with a curse attached):

"To Mansfield Officials:
The vast majority of animal lovers (including myself).
are very angry outraged, that you have chosen to sentence MILO to death,
just because a child teased and provoked the pooch to.
"nip" at the child's leg!

Unless you reconsider your decision,
I promise you this..
You will regret it for the rest of your life!

a thousand angry spirits and you shall.
forever be put to shame!

Ihave seen many Irresponsible dog owners...They should be responsible not the dog...Lets do something to change their attitude...This example can teach them a lesson..if the judge makes the right decision...Save the dog punish the owner.....

Humans are always responsible if bitten by a dog.Dogs do not bite unless provoked...The owner should be responsible, the owner should pay for the dog to be asessed ,,, It is need to know the circumstances and what has been done to the dog prior to the act...We humans have to act, because the dog can't talk..It is our responsability otherwise we are wery wrong...A good judge should know this and should act as such....

This is a very sad situation for the little boy, his parents and the dog's owners. Couldn't they come up with restrictions for the dog that would require a muzzle if he's outside and never left unattended when outside. There has to be some better answer other than killing Milo.

Imagine what influence acts upon the child who is taught if something hurts me, it is put to death. Children often do not learn appropriate behavior around animals from their parents.

we have just had a horrifying event hear in the uk where a family pet was stolen and beaten and set on fire. and apparently the person who was arrested for it has been threatened possibly beaten and has police protection. if they can be given the chance to rebilitate why can't dogs. I could understand if the dog had shown aggression before and after than fair enough but he hasn't
