Let's start with the kid who MUST HAVE BEEN OFFENDED when they told him to take off the shirt. What about his parents, weren't they offended? How about me? I am offended to hear about this foolishness. I am offended on several levels: They insulted the U.S. Marines who had no small part to play in defending our rights to express ourselves (I am including the nincompoops that run the school and their bosses); They bit the hand that feeds them by insulting taxpayers (all taxpayers in a class)...

I myself am a vet of the Viet Nam era. I fully support our military and all they do to keep our beloved country free. The first time I stood and saluted the flag when taps was being blown and I was in full uniform I had tears in my eyes. I still tear up when our flag passes by. What is our country coming to anyway? Take prayer out of our schoools and our children rebell. Take God out of our pledge of Allegence and the country falls apart.

I bet the teacher that said this to the student avoided having to enlist and serve our country because he was a wimp and gutless and afraid he might have to go to war someplace a spineless person.

My husband was a marine and I'm sure if he was alive today and read this he would be very irritated about it! When they run down our service people they are forgetting who fought and some died so that they could live the way they are living today!
