You should study any subject before reporting on it. It makes the reporters and Fox look uneducated and foolish. We as pagans deserve the respect of an apology for the poor reporting on a subject based in herbal lore and a history that has helped fuel medical discoveries that the world has reaped benefits from among other things. If your goal was to insult a culture that spans over many countries I wish to congratulate you. You have achieved your goal.

Sad, pathetic, and just plain mean! How can idiots like that be allowed to broadcast that filth? I try my best to turn my cheek, but I feel saddened by the fact it's our religion that gets attacked and slandered, and others not nearly as much! Stay strong brothers and sisters, Blessed Be to you all!

I have sent this letter to [email protected] - I would encourage all my Pagan brothers and sisters out there to do the same. I am offended by this (as we all are) and we need to bond together in this - I can't believe the incompetence of it all, they could write a book "How to Offend People in Less Than 5 Minutes" by Fox News!

To Whom It May Concern:

I am appalled that the program director would allow such stereotyping and lack of cultural competence to be aired on national television....

To Whom It May Concern:

I am appalled that the program director would allow such stereotyping and lack of cultural competence to be aired on national television. I have been a Pagan for 25 years now, and I am not a "twice divorced, middle aged woman who practices midwifery". I happen to be a married man with two children and a Registered Nurse! I deal with people from many religions in my work as an RN and part of my job is to be culturally competent so as not to inadvertently offend someone who has different beliefs. The man sitting on the left hand side of the couch in that broadcast needs to learn some manners and needs to keep his personal opinions off the air. Everyone is entitled to their opinion (of course) and I'm not saying that he has to love Paganism in all its different forms; but have some cuth for cyrin' out loud. If I ever acted like that in my profession, I could be sued and fired as well as have my license revoked by the Board of Nursing. At least have the decency to know what you're talking about before going on national TV - don't you have people research a news item before you air it? I mean you're FOX news (a news agency that I had respect for), did someone take their ignorant dumb ass pills that morning? I am extremely offended by the remarks that were made and I hope in the future you can find it in your hearts to more respectful of a set of beliefs that is one of the oldest religions on the planet. I could see an anchor offering their opinion if it was a debate program, with a panel of people that represented part of the Pagan community and maybe people calling in to offer opinions - but the things that were said had no bearing on the actual news item being covered and were as offensive as calling an African American a name that I would never use. Thank you for your time and attention - and as we Pagans say: Blessed Be!

I don't like it when people do not bother doing proper reasearch on Wiccan or any subject for that matter before they talk about it..

It's now up to the people of Paganism to avenge the Fox News scourge...

- Plant Patchouli around Fox News offices.
- Sneak Agrimony into Fox News lunches.
- Remove all coffee from Fox News kitchens.
- Offer free Cayenne to all Fox News staff.
- Give away free Selenite to all fellow Pagans.
- Hire a voodoo doll maker to join the Pagans.
- Lobby Julia Gillard to wear Fire Agate in the name of Paganism.

What? These guys really believe that pagans and wiccans are devil worshipers? There's a reason I don't watch Fox News. I have been a member of Asatru for a while now, and never once have I burned incense, played dungeons and dragons or spat in any Christian's face for saying "Merry Christmas," despite Christmas being a blatant thievery of Yule.

These "journalists" are quite pathetic for their blatant disregard of multiple valid religions and groups of people.

If this were any other religion it would have been all over the news by now & various "famous" figureheads and followers of that faith would have long announced their opinion of something like this being said. We've been persecuted for so long and because our religion is such a personal faith that allows & does not condone solitary practice I fear this is something that will keep happening. I want an appology too but I just don't see it happening & if it does it'll be treated like a joke. I...

I do feel sorry for them in a way, if they say this about our faith what other opinions do they have that aren't shared on or off camera. I wasn't a Fox fan before and I won't be anytime soon either. Bad PR people...very bad.

I do not watch the news, but this story was brought to my attention. I am an ordained minister, High Priestess and PAGAN. I am saddened and sickened by by the gross misrepresentation, of my spirituality, the hate filled and demeaning comments as well as the outright lies this story contains. This is the reason I do not watch the news. As journalist it is your JOB to report the FACTS, and to present an unbiased story to the public for INFORMATION and/or EDUCATION. This story is just that...a story, a remarable work of fiction. I too am calling on my Umbrella of Pagan and Wiccan Brothers and sisters to indeed sign the petition and demand the public apology any other "orthodox" religion would be calling for in this situation. Oh, and for the record: I am a college graduate and working professional, I am in my FIRST marriage of 15 years with 2 chldren born in hospitals (though I know many who did home birth and holistic births, SOME WHOM WERE CHRISTIAN!), I have NEVER played Dungens & Dragons, and I hate no religion, I have CLOSE family and friends whom are Christian and of other religous backgrounds. I live in the middle of town, but you did get 1 thing right, I do burn inscence. Thank you ~Namaste'.
