I am currently seeking legal relief from Sallie Mae, they send letters to my house demanding I write checks to re-pay them in full [nearly 30,000 USD] or else.... they have made my life a living hell since graduating from college in 2008 and have yet to help me. Ignoring years of my attempts to negotiate a payment I can make on my measly salary BELOW THE POVERTY LINE! It has to stop! They have destroyed my credit and harassed me for years PLEASE HELP!

We really should just sue them all for fraud, RICO, 14th amendment and 1st amendment, non-accountability for not enforcing the few existing laws there are, standard consumer protections (a whole list of them, not just bankruptcy).

I've paid off my credit cards and all 3 credit scores are over 730 and I can't even get my own car loan due to my student debt. I work 2 jobs and I'm looking for a 3 one just to keep my head above water. I really need help. Millions of people need help.

Hi Alan, I was told by the Fed. Student Loans, Sallie Mae, that I did not qualify for IBR because I was only working part time. I explained to Sallie Mae, after I had to practically yell to get the woman to listen, that I was hire full time but because of medical conditions I could only work part time right now. She put my loans in defferment. This still doesn't help in the long run it merely delays the pain.

This should NEVER have been removed in the FIRST place! While Congress achieves very little, the things it does push through often do little for "the People" and more for large corporations!

If the government can't help pay for tuition, at least give them a break if needed.

I have been faced with the choice of paying student loan payments of 500.00 a month or feeding my family. I am constantly harassed by phone calls &the mailings if I am so much as a day late. All I ask is that student loan repayment be more affordable. You you bring home $1500.00 a month you pay $700 in rent/mortgage & $500.00 where can you find money to pay utilities food personal hygiene products clothing let alone any "extras" such as automobile costs. I CANNOT!!! PLUS ALL of our tax...

I CANNOT!!! PLUS ALL of our tax returns can and are taken if we can't make these horrific payments. The American dream should not entail lack of ability to provide for our children!!

This is getting way out of hand and it's about time something starts happening on our favor. I have been paying student loans since 2004. Is it ok to say that I should never have gone back to school? My mistake to go back in 08' thinking the job placement assistance program would be worth the $23K I pissed away and still pay for. I could have put a down payment on a house if prerequisites courses in high school existed for American education 101! We are suppose to be the future, what the...

Forget everyone else and help your own people here! Thank God I have no children to put into the disgusting idea we have for education. Why are we even paying if there are no jobs anyway? 8 years for me to find one after graduation? What a damn shame.

This hasn't affected me and it probably won't, but I signed it anyway.
Makes sense for anyone that is educated.
