Further to what Deborah McMillan has so brilliantly said, I would love to know if there is anyone on any Council within Australia that is absolutely qualified to say with 100% certainty if any dog in its DNA does or doesn't have any mix of breeds that are in the BSL. As far as I'm aware the ONLY way to do this is to order a DNA test and the costs of this should be paid by the Council making the accusations.
this is a disgrace! Victoria really DOES live in the dark ages! DISGUSTING! FREE THESE DOGS NOW! PUNISH the HUMANS if the dog has done something wrong- it is ALWAYS humans to blame!
Absolutely shameful. Well done Hume. As a resident you have managed to turn my dislike for my poor excuse for a council to outright loathing.
God bless you Bobo! My prayers that you are soon reunited with your loved ones. xo xo xo xo xo xo.
Lets see we live in Australia a so called educated country yet where I stand we are backward hillbillies who just don't know how to correctly apply dangerous dog laws on offending dogs and instead they apply it to innocent breeds before they do something wrong on the basis of their looks and poor cross breds get dragged into it! That is not how you protect the people and educating dog owners and dogs certainly goes a long way instead a dog whose done no wrong has been seized, when will logic and reason prevail in this country?
He doesn't even look like a pitt bull-- most people couldn't pick one out of a line up of dogs anyway.
BoBo doe not even look like a "pit bull" type dog. His black mask makes him looke more like a hound/shepard/boxer mix of some sort. Just because a dog has short hair and "rose" ears does NOT make it a bully breed. Even if he was a "pit bull" type of dog, look to his behavior first, not his "looks". Like Lennox, implementation of BSL in this case is a vicious farce by the government in an attempt to kill someone's pet to "make an example" out of them, when they don't even own a "pit bull" type dog! Shame on them! >:(
