It's the job of all of us men in this world to protect our women and not abuse them. It's the human and humain thing to do. We were ment to love one another, not to distroy each other. I find that women are more sencitive, smarter, wiser and more loving than most men, so please don't treat them like they're lower than the lowest form of life. It's time for men and women together, to stand up for women's rights.

If the majority of men thought the way you do, the world would be a very different place. One in which women would respect and admire men and men would feel good about being real men.

The visibility of men in defense of women needs to be MUCH higher than it is now. Men need to be far more prominent in jumping on this outrage and letting Kurien know what they think of him. Otherwise it's just another unconvincing case of men parroting nice sounding words while the status quo continues.

There are no words, deeds or actions that can describe this kind of action against women and especially girls under the age of 18 that are hardly ready for marriage and then gang raped or even by a single person, even with the so called adult concent. your comment comes from a good place, but please mind - women don't need protecting or rescuing, we are not damsels in distress. Men need to stop raping, powerful institutions need to stop protecting rapists and women and men need to stand in solidarity in this struggle. That is all. No "protecting"

I agree that women are a strong instatution, but I was reflecting on those women in countries where they have no rights at all. Where the mail members of their own families will light them on fire or murder them, just because another man ask them for directions or just because they may have fallen in love with someone. It's not fair and it's not right.

Gandhi was an appeaser of Mohameddans, and this anti-female culture is largely a side-effect of a thousand years of mohameddan invaders.

Mohammedans are not anti-female people. Do some research before talking nonsense. An example- Islam was the first to give property rights to women. Not like the Hindus who gave no share of parental property to women.

@Shamim Hindus did not give paternal property rights to women but they gave dowry to the woman during marriage. It was the sole property of the bride and she used it for family during droughts and other family difficulties. It later formed into a demand by the grooms. Women were even allowed a say in the state of affairs and politics. After the British came they dissolved all rights to property for women and made the husband the wner of the woman's money. This matter should not be allowed to be embroiled into personal prejudices. What's humane & what is brutal is the point. Most important thing is our legislator's shameless behavior and our political system's apathy towards the victims of attrocities. We must feel ashamed of our so called leaders. The voter should throw such people out of power.
