Thank you Andrew Willis for posting and helping us with following this. I receive so many emails about causes and signing petitions but there are NO Explanations behind them. I then follow up but no one has answers. THIS ONE stood as plain as day and I immediately SIGNED. I also POSTED on my Facebook Page for my FRIENDS and FAMILY to all SIGN. YES........This bill makes common sense, BUT I WISH it was a BILL passed all over, not just in New York. I live in New Jersey so I wish it was...

I thank GOD for Lydia Cuomo's courageous heart to speak out because this is definitely horrific but yes it was worse when that PENA denied it for a while! Thank you once again Andrew Willis and I applaud Lydia Cuomo and pray for her, today and always!

Ivonne, today is the last day of the NY Legislative session. We're hopeful but may be disappointed in New York. We are building a coalition to support these bills in every state. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for the compliments! They're very welcome.

Rape and abuse is a Global Crime and the Time is now - to Rid this World of it!!Up the consequences and make the punishment so severe that it really deters the perpetrators from even contemplating doing it?

The punishment is to throw these perpetrators to the Vultures and Eagles....with no recourse or remorse.

Criminals are not normal. They rarely fear punishments nor do most of them forecast the probability of getting caught. Normal people simply can not feel the way that they feel. In a way they are like an exploding sewer line. The sewer line does not think and does not even know that it exploded and doesn't care a hoot about looking bad or stinking to high heaven. It is just like telling a teen that many drugs are very dangerous. You can tell them, show them books, pictures, movies or any...

You can tell them, show them books, pictures, movies or any other thing but somehow they either simply don't care or reason that they are special and nothing bad will happen because they are so special. You end up with a dead teen or worse and they still don't have a clue.

That's why we think language is important. Call a rape a rape and we all know what we're talking about.

You're comparing doing drugs to being not only a violent criminal, but a rapist. It's ridiculous. Yeah people irrationally choose to do drugs, but they're certainly not choosing to hurt others. It's a bit different and your analogy is bullshit. (Jim Sadler)

Jim Sadler uuuuuuuh ok? I'm just gonna say that not ALL TEENS are horrible, hormonal, naive, stupid, little druggees!!!! In fact! The reason why all those "special" teens, rapist, suicidals, druggees, etc. do stupid, messed up things, is because THEY probably went through some major, stupid, messed up BULLCRAP too!! I completely disagree with you; criminals are not "normal" (whatever that is) because normal is something they've never known. Don't you DARE go all stereotypical!! You don't...

You don't know what somebody has gone through until you take their shoes and walk a mile in 'em!....I'm not saying that what they do is right at ALL. All I'm sayin is that everybody does everything for a reason whether it's good or not! I'm kinda glad that the judge didn't just totally go ahead and kill the guy. BECAUSE, everybody has a chance to change! If they don't take that chance and do it again, they'll get caught and that's when he's out! You can't just take somebody's life away because they still have a life to live. Plus, it 's usually the people that have learned from their mistakes and find a love to live for that end up changing the world, just sayin!!...

Actually, most teens do drugs etc not because they don't care but because they're wanting attention. Wanting their parent to prove that they love them. Well, most of the time it's actually rebelling. You tell a teen no, they'll do it anyway and that's not necessarily a bad thing either. All they want is for their parent to let them make their own mistakes. Simple as that. The whole criminal crap by the way, you'd be surprised how many criminals ARE afraid of authority. Why do you think most of them run from the law? (Rhetorical question)

Rape by force is crime against women and men. Gender should not come in to play, but obviously does. These are legal statutes and it is easier if they are clearly definined fairly. To Sunshine I have to say that although you might mean no or your body means no, in this case it is important to say it. People do munipliate and coerce others, but this is not a crime. If someone does something you do not want to do, you must say no or to stop or yell. This does not mean that someone who coerces...
