The father should be held accountable as well since he knew the dog was in the stove suffering a very cruel and painstaking death! If these were humans we would be held accountable and it should be the same for these a**holes! WTH is going on in the world?

When your 39-year-old son throws a live animal in a wood stove, you don't know that you're not next.

The father should be found guilty of MURDER after the fact!

I agree, the father should have help, I would lock up the son, for the number of years he was alive (39), the father, might not of been the type of person that could deal with what he would see, a half dead animal, it would have killed me if I was in his shoes cause I can not look at a dead squril in the road, I cry, and to see any animal suffer, I go crazy, and it would cause me to have PTS, I wouldnt be able to sleep thinking about what I had to see I give to all type places that helps...

I can stand anyone that can hurt any animal, WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE, IF YOU DONT WNAT THE ANIMAL TAKE TO A SHELTER!!!.

That is so sad he knew what he was doing first of all he had to open the dam door to the wood stove and throw the dog in there and next he had to have heard that dog crying out for help while he was out side cutting wood. One sick person and he don't deserve a psych evaluation to see if he is crazy we already know he is so send his ass to prison where they can do him like he done that defenseless dog who depended on him to take care of him.

I have found a lot of responses blame the father too...but as a medical professional my judgement is the dog would not have survived even if removed.....humans don't survive extensive burns and inhalation so little hope is likely for the dog even if removed. iT IS NOT GOING TO SURVIVE. ACTUALLY REMOVING IT after total burning will just prolong its suffereing, if it is breathing yet...with scorched airways. Now I WOULD suggest someone remove it and decapitate it....that will certainly end...

Matthew's punishment should be to be burned to death in a wood stove.
He is so lucky that I am not in charge of his sentencing.

i see what you mean . and think he should have one fingure at a time burned and not taking care of....
so he can see and understand how it feels....and still get time 15 year's pluse 8000 hour's com sever.

Chuck, quit wasting our tax dollars feeding, clothing, and housing this worthless piece of crap! He deserves the same horrors he put that poor defenseless dog through. Oh yeah, and good ol' dad...who did nothing? Well, he needs to stand there and watch HIS son pay the ultimate price for his actions and then someone give him a shove in that direction too since he could have done something to help and didn't.

There's a reason we feed, house, and clothe him. We're just waiting for the day when we're legally allowed to stick a torch up his asshole and force-feed him kerosene.
