Donna Fox Never heard them complain because they have a cross where they can see it. No one forces them to worship God. God doesn't even force people to worship him. If they are sent into another country to fight for them and they demand they remove anything Christian then I would not send them to that country. Let them fight their own fight. You can't respect one who doesn't believe in God by taking it away from those who do. Seems disrespecting them is okay with you ?

Donna Fox out of line. One has nothing to do with the other. Our country and our culture is based on the principle of the Christian Bible. They are welcome to their beliefs but why should our entire culture be gutted because someone gets offended. Guess what, being offended is part of life. Live with it like everyone else. The Bible said this would end in a religious war, and here it is in plain site.

There were several graves without crosses and we did not place wreaths on them. We respected their rights. To Ms. Fox, because soldiers died without accepting Christ as Lord, does not mean they or their families are offended by the cross

Christian Americans the Supreme Being is not a Christian. He is for all religion background. Also we do have the LBGT community and the Supreme Being also made them too.

I don’t support what Obama did to the Christians, because if he will do this to you, who else will he do it too? USA is not a Judeo/Christian nation it states that in the 1st Amendment “congress shall not make no laws respecting of a religion” meaning congress will not make any laws based on a religion and to many politicians believes we need to change this country into where religion people can judge others and the laws should be based on the Judeo/Christian religion. I am sorry this is not what this country was founded for. Anyways Jesus did say didn’t he? you are to pray in private and you are not suppose to judge others and that you are suppose to love your neighbor as thyself. Please follow Jesus words and please stop preaching to others. Your bible laws are for Christians only they are not for non Christians.

Peace to all

Vamshi Krishna We don't, it was not 53 percent, they cheated and stole the election. Many people voted for Romney and saw the machine "confirm" their vote for Obama. Ken Wanner No one has banned Jesus from schools, just like prayer, never has been a ban - that's pure 100% BS - what has been done is that it can not be forced on those who do not want it. Each can pray in their own personal and private way, each can follow the Devine being of their choice, and no one has the right to force a particular belief on another or force them to participate in religious practices they do not believe. It's called Equality for all, not just a select few. Believe...

It's called Equality for all, not just a select few. Believe the way you want, that's fine, and I have just as much right, just as much freedom, I am just as equal as you are. I'm really tired of people crying and lying because they can no longer force feed a certain belief on others, most of those complaining now have never ever, stood in a pulpit, led a public prayer, probably not even in private either. The loudest have never knocked on doors, invited a neighbor to church with them. And the angriest of the bunch probably only show up at the church building for weddings and funerals. Live your faith before you try to force it on others.

I can't figure that out either. I work one day aweek in a crisis center, and it is pathetic how people are fighting for survival. The churches are used by EVERY religious group on post, I have no problem with seeing just a steeple above the building instead of a cross. They shouldn't be banned but I feel as though putting a cross on the building where the Jewish congregation, or the Pagan circle meets is disrespectful to those parties.

That there is no such thing as a "Christian" Chapel on a military base. Everyone uses the same buildings, regardless of beliefs. The mass amount of commenters seem to be under the impression that chapels on post work like civilian chapels, where each individual group has their own dedicated space and doesn't even have to think about the people who don't believe as they do. There isn't enough room on any base to give a separate building to every group.

Crosses should stay. Religion is very important to many military men and women. Possibly adding other religious items of other schools of faith for other religions that love God too would be fair. As for atheists, They are not required to bow before the religious items. We all see things in this world that may offend us, so what? Go on w/ your day and realize the symbols are important to others.

Whereas I can agree w/ the thought that religion surely can promote evil, religious symbols are a part of culture and important to a lot of people. I also feel the same for Buddhist celebrtions, etc. If I went to a public park and saw a Buddhist celebration happening, I'd either join in or not; however, making them move the celebration wouldn't be a thought for me. Many wars have been fought in the name of religion and I understand those who'd rather not partake of the celebrations, festivities, or symbolism of such. However, understanding that religion is a part of culture and simply rolling w/ that is the right thing to do, in my opinion. :)
