Obama will not move to another country to be with his buddies in Muslim land. This Manchurian Candidate is out to destroy everything America stands for, that's why the communists, socialists, ultra-liberals, nazis, fascists, pacifists, totalitatarians, Big Government, Globalists, etc chose him. Take your pick it is the same old pick!! I despise the people who voted for Obama more than I despise Obama. I can't wait for the 2016 election and get rid of Obama. His legacy is zilch, nada. Ken Wanner No one has banned Jesus from schools, just like prayer, never has been a ban - that's pure 100% BS - what has been done is that it can not be forced on those who do not want it. Each can pray in their own personal and private way, each can follow the Devine being of their choice, and no one has the right to force a particular belief on another or force them to participate in religious practices they do not believe. It's called Equality for all, not just a select few. Believe the way you want, that's fine, and I have just as much right, just as much freedom, I am just as equal as you are. I'm really tired of people crying and lying because they can no longer force feed a certain belief on others, most of those complaining now have never ever, stood in a pulpit, led a public prayer, probably not even in private either. The loudest have never knocked on doors, invited a neighbor to church with them. And the angriest of the bunch probably only show up at the church building for weddings and funerals. Live your faith before you try to force it on others.

Robert, Carl, Christianity and in particular the Roman Catholic Church WAS the world's enemy and exucutioner for more than 1600 years. I am totally non-violent and am against any killing, hatred or prejudice in any form, so I find it totally offensive and hypocritical for "Christians" (who do not follow the word of Christ anyway, so I am confused by the nomenclature) to dictate that all other persons who believe differently must be exposed to their symbols of hate, greed and racism. Christians have been offending the rest of the world for more than 1600 years, wake up and smell the history!! First and formost, such elimination of religious symbolism is the law of the land. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion..." By allowing any religion to be put forth on a governmental (military) property, unless they can equally represent ALL beliefs, secular and non-secular, then they are in violation of the US Constitution. Simple. Easy. But not for most you - you want more. OK, the division of Religious beliefs surronding the "one true God" thing has caused more peoples, countries, families to go to war and by which or otherwise to kill each other than any other reason on earth over the last 10,000 years. You can stumble through and stupidly deny this fact but you all know it to be true. Do we want an attitude of division and hate put together by the Romans and the Catholic Church 1600 years ago in an attempt to take power over the entire world to again pollute the minds, souls and lives of those we entrust to keep our country safe? I say NO. The private person is free to do what they wish within the boundaries of civility and the law to promote their particular ideas and ideals, but our government IS NOT!!

Your statement in absolutely SENSELESS you know. Your country's government have been democratically chosen AND placed into power. This process had NOTHING to do with RELIGION. So WHY did you now chose to bring religion into the equation? Muslems, Jews, Hindus, Hari-chrishnas, Buddhists and Christians all alike are religious. Atheists on the other hand are NOT religious. Did you even KNOW this? I doubt. I for one know a lot of atheists as well as religious people and I can assure you that...

The churches are used by EVERY religious group on post, I have no problem with seeing just a steeple above the building instead of a cross. That there is no such thing as a "Christian" Chapel on a military base. Everyone uses the same buildings, regardless of beliefs. The mass amount of commenters seem to be under the impression that chapels on post work like civilian chapels, where each individual group has their own dedicated space and doesn't even have to think about the people who don't believe as they do. There isn't enough room on any base to give a separate building to every group.

Crosses should stay. Religion is very important to many military men and women. Possibly adding other religious items of other schools of faith for other religions that love God too would be fair. As for atheists, They are not required to bow before the religious items. We all see things in this world that may offend us, so what? Non-Christians could just use their tolerance and understand this is an important part of culture for many people. I also feel the same for Buddhist celebrtions, etc. If I went to a public park and saw a Buddhist celebration happening, I'd either join in or not; however, making them move the celebration wouldn't be a thought for me. Many wars have been fought in the name of religion and I understand those who'd rather not partake of the celebrations, festivities, or symbolism of such. However, understanding that religion is a part of culture and simply rolling w/ that is the right thing to do, in my opinion. :)
