I believe in order for you to do a good job you need to be on the job 5 days a week 50 weeks of the year and if you find it to difficult you need to resign. You are our representatives and it is no wonder our country is in the mess it's in with all your time off. We work 5 days a week and we don't get recess we get a 2 week vacation after 2 years on the job and if 23 are lucky after 5 years 3 weeks. I repeat if the job is to strenuous resign and let someone who can handle the job do it.

I think it's long past due for hard working middle class Americans to join as one and revolt against all of our elected officials. When you break the middle class you break the backbone of this country. Slowly but surely Washington is eliminating the middle class. Our homes are devalued, Social Security and Medicare are severelly compromised, retirement ages extended and our retirement funds depleated by a weak economy. What Congress is doing with our money is no less criminal than what executives in the private sector were jailed for. If the entire working class of this country stopped paying taxed for 30 days let's see how these politicians work to fund their programs, pay their salaries and find the money to run the country.

We must tell President Obama NO. No more money for bombs and "defense" issues. We have made enemies and we are broke and our brave are dead or dying from their patriotic servitude. It is not a Congressional issue when the President just signs "Executive Orders" defying what his population, his people, his employers us the U. S. citizen) state they want thru their representatives. Stop the madness. Stop feeding the evil that is known as our "Military/Industrial complex". Stop the hate,...

I hope when it is time for their Congress-person re-election the people remember their senators. This is not the time to filibuster when the country is in crisis.

I'd like to suggest an option: let your legislators know that they are personally liable for any debt that they have voted in favor of creating and any other legislation that causes the public harm (financial, emotional or physical). It's a simple concept and has precedent being used against CEO's of corporations who have caused harm to the share holders. It would be valid to apply this precedent to elected officials since they are entrusted with a fiduciary responsibility to the people....

Sadly many if not most have forgotten that they are in office to represent living breathing people.

I worked 22 years at my job. I had 2 weeks off per year, with no pay. But when I took these two weeks off, I made sure my work didn't suffer from it by assigning someone to do the job while I was gone. Nobody paid me for being gone.

No pay checks either. Since they can't accomplish a damn thing theft shouldn't be wasting taxpayer money on themselves. The rest of us would be fired if we performed at this level and should be. Recall the entire House.
