Term limits are looking better all the time, especially when we have a do nothing part time congress, taking care of themselves and scratching their friends backs. Look at what they do for themselves, pay, retirement, insurance, vacation and perks, all as public servants!!

Term limits will not change that problem. See my comment. Campaign finance reform. REAL reform, not some watered down BS. No outside money allowed. Public financing only. Then the congress will be doing our business and scratching our backs.

I think term limits are a good thing. Maybe better would be a requirement to have spent time in industry in order to be elected to Congress or the Presidency. Being forced to live with all the same rules they make for us would open their eyes.

Its time to work, complete your assignments before leaving Washington or give up your position and go home to stay. You need to return your pay increase and live like the rest of us do.

Hey, remember that those scum only have to serve one term and they are set for life. Their pension, paycheck, medical and all those perks continue for their whole family, even after they leave. Just serve one term and they're golden. Can you or I do that?

AND the reason for that is they made it into law without the American people's approval;. they just did it,

REMEMBER, MANY OF THEM HAVE NOT PAID FOR A GALLON OF GAS IN MANY MANY YEARS,OR FOR A VEHICLE , OR FOR THE INSURANCE FOR THAT VEHICLE, FOR HEALTH INSURANCE OR CARE (OR MUCH OF ANYTHING ELSE THAT WE CALL DAILY NEEDS) NOR HAVE THEY MOST LIKELY EVEN BEEN TO A GROCERY STORE LATELY SO THEY ARE ALL VERY WELL OUT OF TOUCH WITH THOSE OF US WHO STRUGGLE WITH SUCH THINGS DAY BY DAY.

If Congress continues to take these breaks while not getting the job done they should be unemployed come election day the majority of these elected officials are reelected based on their party affiliation and their popularity remember this on election day send them to the unemployment line.

What makes you say Congress has done nothing?? They voted themselves a pay raise THEN, went on vacation........

Part of the problem is Congress in in session too long! The debt goes on because the (Congress) created it...DUH. The spending goes on if they are in session or not.. Congress is now ' Royality '. But they must obey party leaders (Viceroys) decisions. Out of lockstep and you are gone... not too bad salary and unbeliveable beniftis that go on till they croke...

No Way. They are over paid as it is. Paid vacations, Paid benefits, Paid everything. They need to start paying for the privilege of being ELECTED to the Congress. We the people don't get paid for not doing our jobs. We get Fired.

They have all left the building. Really, they have all gone home! I think it's time to revamp Washington completely.

I Wish we could do away with ALL Lobbyists. Especially In Light of This Presidents"Failed Promise To Not Appoint Any Lobbyists, The Democrats (At Least) Should Be Able To Accept Such a Concept. But, I'd Like To See Both Parties Reject Lobby Monies, Trips and Influence Buying. How President Obama Made So Many HUGE but Broken Promises on Things like This, (Only To Have Appointed Dozens of Major Lobbyists) as Well as Transparency; another Big Joke. Yet Thanks To an Adoring or Fearful Media just giving a Permanent Hall Pass To This Administration .

Congress will never change! The only way to get rid of them is to vote the TVP in 2016(Jill Reed for President! That is the only way to dispose of them.

Ahh, you mean Jill Stein (of the Green Party) for President.
In any case, we all need to rise up and shake up the status
quo in HUGE fashion.
