"Proud to Be an American" ~Lee Greenwood~.
This is my other favorite
mine also, the best
Joel, thats my favorite but I appreciate ALL songs praising our troops for putting their lives on the line so that I can live free
my favorite too
Yes, I worked a USO tour with Lee Greenwood! It was awesome so far away from home.
this one sums it up completely besides the STAR SPANGLE BANNER AND GOD BLESS AMERICA
This is my all time FAVORITE!!!!!
My vote also...Proud to be an American.
That's a great song, but I don't think it is actually a musical tribute to our military personnel. However, I will say it is a great pro-America song. In that situation, it would be my favorite.
Like the song - live the sentiment. I am proud to be an American, we're not perfect, but we continue to move forward towards equality, life, liberty and the pursuit of happieness. May God bless America and continue to use us as an example, a shining light, for the rest of the world. Let His will be done.
Thanks to everyone one who puts on a uniform - be it in days gone by, today, or in the future. Thanks to all those VETS who put it all on the line for us. Always remember "All gave Some - Some gave All". Our gratitude is never ending.
Having a son who is being deployed overseas on Monday, I have to go with Toby Keith's American Soldier....I think this song says it all.....
my heart goes out to you. My son home a month. Best of luck to him.
My thoughts and prayers to you and your family. My son served in OIF '04-'05. I have kept a "Blue Star Flag" in my office until all the troops come home. God Bless you and your son.
My prayers are with y'all, my youngest brother is US Army Airborne and is looking to deploy to Afghanistan soon, so I hope they all come home safely together and we throw em a huge welcome home celebration!!
My boyfriend deployed overseas recently as well. Many blessings to you, your family & especially your son!
My son (Iraq, Afgan) and daughter (Afgan) have been home just over a year. I understand the array of feelings you are having. I kept saying to myself that I am an American soldier's Mom! I too am proud, brave, strong, and blessed. ( Not saying it always worked, but I tried! ) God will be with them and you!
God Bless your Brother, ALL of Our Veterans and Military Troops fighting to Keep Our Country Free and Safe !!!! My oldest Son is in the Air Force, was stationed at DAFB and leaving for Germany next month.
Prayers go out for him and all the troops over there. I have two grandsons over there now.
Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts, support, and prayers....Will keep all your family members in my thoughts and prayers....
God bless you and your brother, free Tattoo at my shop upon return , i support the troops, to bad they dont use them to clean up our own country
GOD BLESS THE USA.....LEE GREENWOOD....
The best one Yes!
MY MOST FAVORITE IS GOD BLESS THE USA. AND GOD HAS BLESSED THE USA! My nephew listened to this song as a 9 year old boy for months and into years . It was this song that HE HEARD HIS CALL TO BE A MILITARY MAN. Serving the USA now for 16 years, I believe GOD places into the hearts of our young to fight for their country to defend OUR WAY OF LIFE AND VALUES. That have made us a great nation. AND MAY THE USA BLESS GOD by honoring HIS name once again in our halls of legislature and educational...

It was this song that HE HEARD HIS CALL TO BE A MILITARY MAN. Serving the USA now for 16 years, I believe GOD places into the hearts of our young to fight for their country to defend OUR WAY OF LIFE AND VALUES. That have made us a great nation. AND MAY THE USA BLESS GOD by honoring HIS name once again in our halls of legislature and educational institutions . We can only remain strong and courageous as we EMBRACE GOD"S values and Bibical principals . This will be as we elect GOD fearing honorable persons to lead this country and BRING BACK PRAYER TO OUR SCHOOLS.
If you were not born in this era , you must speak with your elders to learn HOW WE CAN RETURN TO THE ANCIENT PATHS that made us a GREAT NATION . ONE NATION UNDER , the GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC and JACOB . The patriaches of GOD callled to BE HIS PEOPLE to represent HIM in the earth. Shalom, hugs and Love to all those who embrace and love this Country. For she has survived many battles and THAT GRAND OLD FLAG STILL WAVES OVER THE HOME OF THE BRAVE AND THE FREE! It has always been GOD"S heart for people to be free to worship their GOD freely. There has to be power in the BIBLE as it is banned in 52 countries. SO that should give us insight to the power of the BIBLE and what GOD desires and requires of man. Whom HE has created in HIS image to worship HIM ONLY. Remain a warrior for our country to pass on our value and way of life to our offspring.
I love all patriotic songs. My personal favorite is Lee Greenwood's GOD BLESS THE USA.
God Bless the U.S.A. We won't forget the men (and women!) who died who gave us the right to be free.
My Dad (Retired Navy) plays this song in the car when the whole family is together. I love it so much.
"Letters from War" by Mark Schultz is my favorite, hands down.
My favorite seems to be the one where you acknowledge Dick Devos bribed reluctant politicians into voting for RTW. That's just plain wrong!

Delia...didn't your parents ever teach you that lying is wrong? No one was "bribed" to vote for RTW, but nice try.
BTW, Delia...these postings are intended to express gratitude to our veterans not be used a a platform for cheap shots against elected officials.
Unlike your cheap shots at the people of Michigan while you brag to your Tea Bagger friends.
Those that forget history, are DOOMED to repeat it. You're freedom began with TEA in a harbor.;
Lee Greenwood "Proud To Be An American"!
Thank you for your sesrvice and God Bless you and your family.
Thank You Patrick ..... My Son Returned from Afghanistan last May. God Bless you ALL!
Thank-You for your love and service to our country.
One Tine Soldier, I don't know who its by though.
One Tin Soldier, rather*
Joan Baez 1960s to present music artist, But many others also record this song as well.
She's a Quaker, interestingly. I remember the version that plays at the end of Billy Jack.
Where is Trace Adkins's "Arlington"?
Absolutely!!! I tell folks all the time, y'all wanna see what freedom costs just go to Arlington and look out over that sea of white crosses and yall see in an instant what freedom costs!!
I had forgotten about that one until you mentioned it. I am a BIG fan of Trace Adkins and especially THAT song. It most definitely tells the true cost of freedom. (Too bad too many people today don't know about that cost.)
"Frontline" by Pillar >>is an awesome song and MY VOTE<<.
"No One Gets Left Behind" by Five Finger Death Punch is pretty good.
I forgot until seeing on from someone else if your going to go the country route on this voting hands down I would have to go with
>>"Some Gave All" by Billy Ray Cyrus ^^no truer words were sang before^^
then there is
>>"Soldiers & Jesus" by James Otto
"Some Gave All" by Billy Ray Cyrus
All gave some and some gave all
And some stood through for the red, white and blue
And some had to fall
And if you ever think of me
Think of all your liberties and recall
SOME GAVE ALL
Lee Greenwood has to be in there!
This may sound weird but I don"t care. All Along the Watchtower by Jimi Hendricks.
When Johnny Comes Marching Home Again.
That's an awesome one that gets forgotten with time but still sends chills up ya when you hear it again!!
Im Proud to be an American
