I am old now and I deeply regret having participated in trapping, 70 yrs later. The visions of my inflicted agonies and inhumanity plague me still as few others of my sins do. To those who still trap, stop it. If you don't regret it yet, you will… grievously. To those who work to stop it, keep up the good fight and recall that we are still in an "awkward phase" in human development, but change is inevitable.

Regarding "justice for the unborn": I consider the term to be an alarmingly ignorant and inhuman one, betraying a stupefying lack of compassion… and grace.
I don't know you but thank you so much for signing our petition and for sharing it. Your words speak volumes to me and I so appreciate your honesty. We will do our best to beat this in our little county! Thank you so much.

It is NEVER too late to say one is sorry but that is my personal opinion! LOL And at least he learned and changed!
Seabury, at least you are speaking out against this now. Too late for some animals but maybe will change a few minds out there. We learn from our mistakes. I'm going to borrow your comment if you don't mind, with credit to you. Other trappers should see this and I think you ARE trying to get the word out.
Thank you for that, Seabury. I appreciate your courage to talk about the past and to change your mind. We need people like you. You can tell us what trapping really is.

Uncivilized, cruel and shame for the officials who allow this!
Stop trapping in Polk country, too cruel...barbaric...shame on these people, COWARDS...
Ban the traps as I myself was caught in one. I was lucky I had boots on so it only managed to squeeze my toes. In the time it took to get it off my foot it hurt like hell so I know how the animals feel and they couldn't get themselves out of it like I did.Ban the traps as they are barbaric.
Someday, and that day is almost here, the animals.of the wild shall be gone....no more shall we hear their haunting melodies..no more shall we show are granddchildren what amazing animals of the wild are..for they will be gone..forever..man has trapped his soul and then it shall be to late.....WAKE UP...stop your killing of our kindered animals of the wild......or you have damned yourself for all enterity..blessed be to our wild ones
Every animal is a creation of God and should receive love, care and RESPECT and be able to live in an environment that is best suited to their needs - away from greedy, thoughtless, selfish, cruel humans. God bless ALL animals! xo xo xo xo xo xo.
Out walking tonight around 8 PM and I hear howling and barking and noticed flash lights in the woods, I believe they were "coon hunting" another barbaric act they can do away with! Nothing better to do on a Saturday night?
It is horrible.
Kill every trapper you can.
Please end this barbaric practise.
