I am old now and I deeply regret having participated in trapping, 70 yrs later. The visions of my inflicted agonies and inhumanity plague me still as few others of my sins do. To those who still trap, stop it. If you don't regret it yet, you will… grievously. To those who work to stop it, keep up the good fight and recall that we are still in an "awkward phase" in human development, but change is inevitable.

Regarding "justice for the unborn": I consider the term to be an alarmingly ignorant and inhuman one, betraying a stupefying lack of compassion… and grace.
I don't know you but thank you so much for signing our petition and for sharing it. Your words speak volumes to me and I so appreciate your honesty. We will do our best to beat this in our little county! Thank you so much.
seabury, i m sorry but i think its a bit too late in life to say your sorry dont you.?
It is NEVER too late to say one is sorry but that is my personal opinion! LOL And at least he learned and changed!
Seabury, at least you are speaking out against this now. Too late for some animals but maybe will change a few minds out there. We learn from our mistakes. I'm going to borrow your comment if you don't mind, with credit to you. Other trappers should see this and I think you ARE trying to get the word out.
Thank you for that, Seabury. I appreciate your courage to talk about the past and to change your mind. We need people like you. You can tell us what trapping really is.
beverly... how can it ever be too late to admit you made mistakes and say you are sorry?
Beverly Gannon no its not it is never too late to acknowledge our mistakes :D that is what Jesus come here to teach us what is not ? :D love to you
I certainly do not believe it is ever to late to be genuinely sorry for something you did in your youth .who the he'll are you to question Mr. Lyon heart felt apology.judge not lest yea be judged.
Seabury, for each animal you trapped and tortured 10 trapper, who stop trapping because of your courage - that's turning hell in heaven!
Where is polk County?
Debra, Polk County is in North Carolina
Trapping is so archaic! They need to make these traps illegal. If the low-lifes who set these traps want to catch an animal, be a man and legally hunt it. Trapping was obviously set up for those hunters who are "special needs' and cannot kill an animal with normal hunting practices. Any dumb ass can set a trap, it actually takes skill to "hunt" an animal.
I was going to join this petition, but then I saw how another human being was challenged by someone else here, because he admitted to having trapped animals before becoming aware of the atrocities he was involved in.. how dare you judge another human who joins you in good faith? This petition is not called oh come all yes trappers, we shall judge you... it should be a place to educate and eventually stop this utter crap! When you stand in Judgement, remember that Karma has a very big hand.
Have your petitions, sure, just dont be hateful to those who are trying to change
Jesse, I personally have applauded Seabury for his words of wisdom. It was just a signee that made those comments and I totally agree with you. We should all be so blessed to have seen this comment from Seabury because he is the voice of experience and I so appreciated what he said.
I have already signed this I think but these stupid red necks I doubt it. If they don't hear it on the news they don't know it. Mororns.
Thanks for signing the petition
already signed ~ I Hate those MONSTERS !
I hope this is stopped in your county! It's just a terrible thing to do to a poor unsuspecting animal just living it's life as the way God meant it to be.

Please stop this. The is inhumane to all animals.
People have several alternative materials that they can make a coat out of, but the animal has only one! Leave him with the coat he was given and be at peace with nature.
Barbaric, inhumane, cruel, horrific... and so many other words apply to this practice.
We need to co-exist with nature , not elimlnate it.There are other ways of dealing with these problems that do not involve torture and death innocent creatures. Besides , traps can be dangerous and cruel for our domestic animals.
