I am old now and I deeply regret having participated in trapping, 70 yrs later. The visions of my inflicted agonies and inhumanity plague me still as few others of my sins do. Seabury, at least you are speaking out against this now. Too late for some animals but maybe will change a few minds out there. We learn from our mistakes. I'm going to borrow your comment if you don't mind, with credit to you. Other trappers should see this and I think you ARE trying to get the word out.
