Some of this I learn every day by reading what some people & some companies are capable of just shocks me. I know that there is evil out there, but every day that I read about stuff like this I just get sickened to the core that people can really do this w/o batting an eye.

Um, does everyone realize that in order to do a successful boycott, you would also have to find out all the other companies that take animal products from Tyson plants, and repackage them under their names?

It's not just the animals. That is bad enough, but the labor pratices are aweful too. They hire immigrant workers from multiple countries with many different languages and provide the safety "training" in English. They can't even communicate with a lot of thier workforce. Workers are injured all the time and they cover it up.

Even if they wanted and attempted to implement an animal welfare innitative, it would only be window dressing, because the line employees wouldn't have a clue what...

Even if they wanted and attempted to implement an animal welfare innitative, it would only be window dressing, because the line employees wouldn't have a clue what the new instructions were telling them to do (or not to do). All this cut production costs, make cheap low-grade meat, and a ton of money for the company.

Like many here, I haven't bought a Tyson product in years. My wife and I are moving toward a vegetarian diet, but when we've bought meat, it's been from sellers we feel some confidence are authentically certifying their humane treatment of animals. Buying locally from smaller farms definitely increases the confidence level. Big thanks to you animal rights advocates out on the front lines making sure producers are telling the truth!

I haven't purchased a Tyson product for years knowing how cruel they are to animals........eating legumes, vegetables, tofu, fruit is much healthier anyway. BOYCOTT Tyson Foods.
