Just make sure you talk to your doctor first before you listen to someone on the internet telling you to change your diet drastically...

PS: Vegan/vegetarianism isn't healthy for everyone.

Kelly Shelton : Only the murderous and torturous meat-/dairy-/egg industry aligned people would tell someone to abstain from the healthiest diet on the planet. Are you one of them ?

Billy, you got it. People who align with this are cold-hearted , mindless, deniers, selfish enough to let other beings die for their palate and 15 minutes of taste. If they would have to eat raw flesh for the rest of their lives they wouldn't do it either. Of course some will now argue they would, but trust me they are lying for profit. The difference between a Zombie and a Vegan diet in taste are solely salt, pepper, herbs, etc. Once you taste a well-done Vegan meal, you will understand...

Kelly....ignore what they say. Just because we are from the same species doesn't mean we are all the same inside. You should always consult a Dr. before making any drastic changes in your diet. Patricia...I eat raw red meat and I LOVE it!!!!! Sushi is damn good too. Anything from the ocean I will eat raw. Yummmy!!!!!!!!! I would eat bugs if I had to. Unless you are growing your own veggies, you are consuming many different chemicals, so what is better? Guess your body was built to digest...

See we are all different. Have a happy day all. Do what is best for you as an individual.

I am a raw vegan and truly believe humans were meant to eat fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds. Animals are creatures like us; they have eyes, can smell, think and have feelings. How would you feel if you knew you were the next meal? Animals were meant to be loved, not eaten. Regardless, they should be treated as you wish to be, humanely. ♥

Ryan, anything that is cooked kills all nutrients including protein. Protein is a fallacy brought on by the meat industry. If you'd research, there are protein in fruits and veggies, all that is needed by us humans. Name me one person that has died or been hospitalized due to the lack of protein? The milk industry is just as contrite. If something is dead, how can it produce life. Fruits and veggies are living when we eat them with seeds to plant for more life. They are full of nutrients....

I've researched this topic thoroughly. Give yourself a 30-day vegan diet and see how you feel and report back as to which of the two diets (eating meat vs a raw vegan/vegan/ vegetarian) made you feel better/healthier. ♥

I worked at Tyson for about 2 years. If you want to boycott Tyson you need to boycott every single chicken and turkey house you drive by everyday. Every company raises their chickens and turkeys the same way... in those long stinky buildings. And do you all realize the local families that would be out of income due to this. The families that have the houses and all the people that work at the plants. If you have such an issue with how chickens are raised get you a chicken coup and raise your...

When it comes time to hack off their heads and pluck their feathers you'll change your minds.

I totally hear what you're saying, Candi, but there are definitely family farms out there that treat their chickens better than Tyson does. It's a little bit more expensive, but I try to buy chicken at the farmers market or Whole Foods because the chickens are raised more humanely and when they are treated well they make for higher quality food, too.

I have boycotted Tyson Foods years ago when I saw a video then of their cruelty. My husband, no thanks to me, is still a meat eater. Sadly, nothing's changed. I Believe many americans don't have the conscience necessary to question the fate of farm animals. We're dealing with a culture of Kill it/wrap it/let's eat! Never mind what took place when the animals were brought in for the killing. Somebody else did the dirty deed for us! I am so glad I became vegan 30 years ago. I just wish...

Originally I stopped purchasing TYSON products was because how the company treated their employees at least here in Wisconsin. I will never support Tyson for all of their inhumane acts. (Have you ever lived on a farm Kelsie Vaile?) I have! Dairy, Pig and grain. I say if you haven't expierienced actual farm life, you aren't getting all the facts from a book. However, thank you for your comments and insight.

My facts are from experience working with animals as a young child and all throughout my life and now in college as I am studying Animal Science. In nothing that I commented was I bashing farming in any way possible. I am a huge supporter of animal agriculture. I also support Tyson and everything they do. In nothing that I commented was I bashing farming in any way possible. I am a huge supporter of animal agriculture. I also support Tyson and everything they do. The only thing that I said that may have been misinterpreted was that yes, some Tyson workers SOMEWHERE in this country probably mistreat animals at some point. But that is because they are bad people who have yet to be caught doing so. I obviously do not think that this is a good think whatsoever but, like any other illegal things, it sometimes happens.

The original post stated, "Most recently undercover video footage exposed workers kicking and punching pigs at a Tyson supplier's facility, in contrast to Tyson's claims to be a leader in animal well-being." In my comment I was saying that not all Tyson's workers did that. I was defending Tyson, not saying that they all mistreat their animals. So, Anna, that answers your question. Nancy, I don't understand what you're implying. Linda, I was just giving you facts to back up my information other than my "opinion" on the issue.
