Hi. My 2nd grandson was born at only 24 wks. The bonding period for mother & baby is very very important.
Yes it is....thank yiu for your support!
My grandson was in the NICU in Ms. for 7 weeks. I was able to be with him everyday for hours because it was so close to home. It made such a difference in his recovery ! If we were later than normal getting there for our visit, the nurses said he'd get fussy. And many times we'd come in and his crying would stop the minute he'd hear our voices. YES YES YES, IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE ! Ya'll are in our prayers
Thank you for sharing!
Only right that I do share. I just wish more people would get involved !
My nephew was born 14 weeks too soon, and our family will never forget the amazing care and love provided by the NICU staff in Wilmington, Delaware (Christiana Care Hospital). My nephew is now a healthy and happy toddler :) I have signed this petition, and will urge everyone I know here in NY to do the same. I wish you the best of luck with your cause.
Thank you...we need all the support we can get and appreciate yours!
Awesome place, my brother is the Medical Director at Christiana Care. Was so happy to see you adopted Spike, now Buddy?
I know first hand I had two premature babies, and I was able to stay with both of mind.there was an company that provide me with money and clothes while I was there..i think its important that a mother and father should be able to stay with there baby, the first few hour of a baby life is a bonding moments between a mother and child.
Thank you for your support!
Yes. So important. My son was in nicu for 8 days. 8 days I was there from early until 12midnight sometimes later. I did not see much parents there and they only spent 1 or 2 hours. What could've been more important?
Thank you for the support!
My twins were born 11 weeks premature in 1980. Back then they were considered very early. The
staff at the NICU at Dartmouth encouraged early bonding. As they grew stronger we became involved in their care. bathing, feeding, I later went on to help start a support group for parents. Support I did not have. Bless all that take care of these babies.
Thank you for sharing your story and your support!
Former NICU nurse. Strongly believe in this cause. My son, now 28 years old was transferred to a neonatal unit 30 minutes away. That seemed too far. Moms and babies need each other!
Staying with our son was the most important.....to be able to talk with him and hold his little hand to let him know we were there I know gave him comfort n strength.
It makes all the difference in the world! Thank you for your support!
My son was born premature and he was in the NICU it is an amazing place. Everyone is so nice and it makes you feel at ease. The things they do for the children is just amazing. I am thankful everyday for the one my son was in, he is happy and healthy and doing wonderfully. Please sign this, so that other families can benefit from it.
Thank you for your story and your support!
