A message for the sick, prefetic hunters (MURDERERS): You people live in such a beautiful area... with thousands of dolphins. That's something we could only dream of here in Belgium. As a child it was my dream to see dolphins. You people can live this dream and what are you guys doing with it? Destroying it. Killing the dream of thousands of people, killing these beautiful and intelligent creatures. Just for money. You guys make me sick. If there is a hell, I hope you heartless basterds get what they deserve.

The vast majority of the world realizes there is no healthy population of Whales, and the japanese hunting in their SANCTUARY is not helping that problem. To top that, it's outrageous that they pretend they're doing "research" and LIE to the whole world about it, just so they may continue to flaunt the International Whaling Commission rules and collect whalemeat to sell. If the meat is found to have too much mercury in it, they "donate" it to schools to serve to children as lunches because...

If the meat is found to have too much mercury in it, they "donate" it to schools to serve to children as lunches because they can't sell it as the high-price delicacy. What they don't sell goes bad in a warehouse and gets dumped. They then go back out for re-stock.
There's no reason to slaughter dolphins either... especially since there ARE other sources of food, and every kind is available to them because Japan is far from being a poor country anymore! America, and others, have made them rich buying their cars and phones and computers and TVs. Whaling is actually a very antiquated way to gain food. It's prehistoric!

Japanese killing of endangered species or protected one, like whale and dolphin that all the rest of the world consider not edible and give respect to this mammal that had incredible mental capacity. Japanese cruelty against such animal show they pour moral standing and keep alive they cinic and cruel war crime they committed during the WW2.

I already signed. But I think there is a wording error there. "Making it illegal to hunt dolphins and whales in Japan would accomplish this!" Yes stop slaughtering dolphins and whales but please by all means keep killing Dall's (and other) porpoises? HUNTING ANY CETACEAN SHOULD BE BANNED

Please stop! Cant you see how cruel and brutal this treatment of the whales is? I thought the japanese were a kind and loving ppl, but obviously not anymore! I WILL NOT be attending or even watching the Olympic games for this reason!!

Research my ass, no one has to kill anything to do research on it. That is a barbaric and medieval practice and should be banned everywhere in the world.

It has come to this! Since those in authority that could remedy the horrific dolphin & whale killing, but for years have refused to change this practice, the Olympic Committee MUST refuse Japan from hosting the 2020 games. Why should Japan be held up on a pedastal & revered when they are knowingly breaking international law and engaging in such brutal killing methods, lying through their teeth. A precedent must be set and until they stop this killing & capturing, they should not be allowed...

A precedent must be set and until they stop this killing & capturing, they should not be allowed to hold any worldwide event of such a prestigious nature! It will not be tolerated any longer! Let's stand together & make a statement, speaking for those who have no voice!

This is not acceptable - the support for each and every one of these pledges and petitions is a testament that we are no longer willing to accept these actions by the Japanese Government

Not when the culture & livelihood sopports the barbaric & henious acts of pure torture & inhumane death purely for greed of money. I've seen "The Cove"Yeah, we're not perfect in treatment of farm animals but we're working on it.....many organizations are supporting it.
