I think the questions were very limiting. I think it is more tha point that fast foods are too accessable and visiable. You can continually see them driving home and on the television and they 'get you at a weak moment' so to speak - long day at work, you are tired and if you have children, you know it is not something that you will have to fight to get them to eat.

I do take the time to cook healthy from scratch.....I meant to mark that one....I always buy all home grown fruits and vegetable from my menite neighbors all spring and summer...I won't buy fruits and vegetables in the store when they have their stands.
It costs a whole lot more in Illinois to eat healthy foods. Anything labeled organic costs almost 50% more than the same regular item. As always, if you have tons of $$$$ you will eat better and will live longer. Look at British royal family. Queen mother = 100 years; Queen Elizabeth II will probably outlive not just her husband who looks like King Tut's mummy already, but Charles, Camilla, the two princes and Piers Morgan.
GMO'S WERE NOT MENTIONED AS A DETERRANT FOR HEALTH CONSCIOUS CONSUMERS.
Some are just to lazy to get off their buts and prepare nice tasty healthy fresh meals.I have a garden,myself kids and grand kids have brought up eating vegetables and love them.

The healthiest food is organic, of course, and it is more expensive. Eating healthier and preparing one's own food is a matter of habit and being taught about nutrition and how to cook. If consumers demanded organic food it would become more common and thus less expensive.
