Egypt don't depends from the tourists...Egypt depends from the Agricolture,Suez Canal, from his industiries and tthe from the tourism that is the 4th voice in our economy...without doubt it is an important field that count more than 2 milions of workers...Egypt is a diversified economy...the fact that we live only of tourism is a legend,a faulse information...rethoric...

I have argued that Egypt is only dependent on tourism? No!
Agricolture and industiries are closely linked to the tourism! Suez Canal is a reasonably stable base! Tourism Experts in the sector have repeatedly sounded the alarm on the deteriorating state of one of the economy’s main revenue earners, which directly employs 4 million Egyptians and indirectly impacts 14 million, according to the Tourism Ministry.
For me, some walks of tourists welcome in Egypt! And also help from the tourists for this petition is welcome!

Yes it is true what you say but all of Egypt's economy functions in very narrow fields, such as the farming very close to the Nile or canal system - VERY WATER DEPENDENT! The beauty of tourism is - that the infrastructure is already there [the ancient monuments] thus very little cash investment needed to run it! Lastly the simple rule is that you MUST cater for peoples needs [what they want to see], that mostly is YOUR PAST. I do enjoy all of your culture [as many do], from the farmer in his...

I do enjoy all of your culture [as many do], from the farmer in his corn or fruit field, to the fisherman even the ferry master crossing the Nile - so concerned so responsible, to the chattering fun loving children cooling in their favourite swimming place !

It's not only Egypt's heritage, it's really the whole world's and we are it's keepers so it's all our responsibility to save the history of the world.....there's no where on earth like this country so the world's help is needed to help save the situation....UNESCO surely may be petitioned via Egyptologists, Archiologists, Anthropologists, and all branches of the sciences who know that there is still so much to learn from it's past... but most important is that the police do their job or if...

Egyptians do not deserve the treasures of the pharoahs. They just don't deserve to live on this holy land. I just fail to understand why they make such a big fuss when foreign invasion steal those treasures and preserve them in museums. It's not like Egyptians know their worth in the first place.

Dear Kenneth, technically speaking every Museumabroad Egypt is the result of a robbery...the fact is that since the beginning of the Western escavations in Egypt ( about 1800) there was'nt regulation in matter of partage of the findings, so every archaeologist usually could take such findings he wanted and to bring them in is country...then it wa established the rule that every chief of an archaeological mission could take the 10% on the total of the findings, but you can undertand how much...

First, this is a nonpolitical issue that have the support of all Egyptians, yet the writer chose to politicize it to attack others to paint others without a shred of evidence as unscientific and unpatriotic, hence I cannot sign this petition as it is not ethical to do so, Second, this petition is calling on foreigners to exert pressure on the Egyptian government yet this is the first time I (an Egyptian) here about the subject, internal pressure (at least it should be reported properly to...

I agree, the security forces are the ones that need to act. These people doing the damage are not prompted by political views, but greed.
