We have got to get San Antonio to that No Kill status a lot faster than we are. These poor babies don't deserve this and it starts with responsible pet owners. We have got to get harsher penalties for anyone that doesn't do what they should be along with animal abusers. I love my furbabies and couldn't imagine life without them. Please get everyone you can to sign this petition.

In this article it states that Brooks would have 150 kennels. Unfortunately they have on average 25-30 dogs yet they still euthanize.

Pope Francis should have spoken the words of Saint Francis of Assisi: "If you have men who will exclude any of God's creatures from the shelter of compassion & pity, you will have men who will deal likewise with their fellow men" - ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI

I feel all animals should be given a chance for happiness just like humans

I recently started re-posting pictures of the pets from Brooks Facility in hopes that the more the news is shared, the better the chances of adoption/fostering. The animals at Brooks are from San Antonio. Don't let these babies be forgotten.

"kill shelters" are staffed by monsters and sociopaths who belong in a maximum security jail, not in an animal facilty. What kind of monsters are these when even hardened felons have more empathy for a dog than they do

i sent an email about 30 minutes ago and just got this reply back from the ACS Diector: Dostana:

Thank you for your concern for our pets. You appear to have some misinformation. All of our pets are listed on our website – including those at our Brooks Facility. I am happy to tell you that we’ve reached a live release rate of 83% - and that is in part due to having the additional space at Brooks. Prior to having the Brooks location, we were hovering around 30% live release.

With respect to the injured pet, we received reports from the public yesterday that he had a broken leg. We transported him to our main campus for medical evaluation. He has a broken toe nail and a slightly swollen pad. No broken bones. He is being treated for the toe/pad issue. As you may know, we have a vet technician on staff at the Brooks location. All of our pets – more than 35,000 last year - receive a high standard of care from our medical team.

Brooks is an important part of our program, as such, our rescue groups, fosters and volunteers are at Brooks daily working with our pets and finding them great homes. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting or fostering a great pet, please send them our way. We would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks, again, for your concerns.

Kathy Davis broke her own policies with this one. In her policies all sick, expecting, or injured dogs are to go to 151 Main facility. He was brought in on the 13 of this month. Kathy Davis was sent several emails about this dog, before yesterday. Her reply was that there were no injured dogs at Brooks. It wasn't until she was emailed the video and pictures that she sent for him to be taken to 151 Main facility.

How do I contact Jami Fleming (Cause Leader)? I have some questions that I do not want posted in public thread.
