If you are like me, and have already signed several petitions to "END THE VIOLENCE," please consider supporting THIS documentary as well. Perhaps, we are diluting our efforts; what we really need to do is consolidate. But, until I know which is the "ONE" that will provide the "TIPPING POINT," I will sign any legitimate effort to promote gun safety.
Thank you Eileen. This will definitely be the Tipping Point.
There are 2 things in this case. The tangible cause- the gun, the car etc. The untangible cause like his mental state etc. We should be able to engineer out the tangible cause. NRA is a business and self defence is the reason for them to do what they do. Business is money and they will not let go, no need for them to let go. We just need to get together as a nation and make sure that the untangible reasons for someone to use a gun to do what happened doesn't happen.
We understand that there is a lot to do on a lot of fronts, but you are right we should concentrate on the mental state of people. If I could make everyone rational, I would. The reality is that as the pharmaceutical industry grows (also a beneficiary of the free-market system) people will continue to struggle with mental health issues.
I support this 20 point plan for increasing gun responsibility.
Thank you Katharina.
I invited 50 and could invite many more than that to sign. This is a concrete idea that would make sense to people on all sides of this issue. We need thinking like this to spur action in our congress. I can't wait for this "million man march" to become a reality. This is finally an answer to get the action we need done on this issue. Thank you Pardeep and Amardeep for being our leaders in this fight. Don't ever give up...we are behind you 100%!
Let's stop the killinh
I support you 100%.
Thank-you Amardeep Kaleka and Pardeep Kaleka for doing this important research on such a timely/ sensitive /important issue of the ever-increasing gun violence in our World. My hearts and hats off to you for creating the 20 Point Plan for Gun Responsibility! This is something that should of been enacted a long time ago,....Thank-you for your courage, heart-centeredness, intuition, support and strength!
You have some pretty significant problems with the criminal prosecution for not reporting a lost or stolen gun that is used in a crime, namely proving beyond a reasonable doubt that the owner knew that the weapon was lost or stolen and willfully failed to report the fact.
If I'm on vacation in Europe, my house is broken into while I'm away, a gun is stolen, and before I return home, after your grace period has elapsed, that gun is used to murder someone, your law would hold me culpable....
If I'm on vacation in Europe, my house is broken into while I'm away, a gun is stolen, and before I return home, after your grace period has elapsed, that gun is used to murder someone, your law would hold me culpable. That's simply nuts.
But let's make it more ambiguous. I return from the trip, and three days later, that stolen gun is used to murder someone. But I legitimately haven't realized that there was a theft. You're still willing to send me to jail over that?
Fact is, I don't own any guns and have no plans to do so. But I can't sign your petition as written.
I support this 20 Point plan to increase gun responsibility.
It has to stop! I don"t understand why it is so hard to just do what"s right, come on people it"s not that hard no need for me to say 5min on what's right n what's wrong, n why we should n why we should"nt lets get it together.
