That poor woman needs justice for her family! What kind of people act in such a horrendous way? India needs to abandon it's ancient beliefs about women! It starts with arranged marriages, child marriages and dowerys! Women are taught they are objects to be used by men!
I have lived in India and this is my opinion. In India, young men get to have sex "officially" when they get married, as do women. Sexuality needs to be looked at as a whole, and not just blame blindly. Rape is not good, but it is a consequence of a tabooed society. The West is partly to blame with the advent of the internet and PORN. Young indian men have free access to PORN from America and Europe. As a consequence, when they see a Western woman in India, they think they can touch her...

The West is partly to blame with the advent of the internet and PORN. Young indian men have free access to PORN from America and Europe. As a consequence, when they see a Western woman in India, they think they can touch her freely. Ask any white girl who has visited India, 100% will say they have been groped.
I first went to India 13 years ago. There were no magazines or billboards with half naked women. Nowadays, it is everywhere. Putting this kind of visual bait in front of young boys and men, who come from a very repressed sexual culture is torture.
However WRONG their actions may be, it is no more than a consequence. So instead of just arrogantly blaming "them", try seeing the bigger picture.
Just as an counter example, in France, many posters bear beautiful breasts. However, the French are more open-minded and sex is very casual, so there is an outlet for this kind od visual content. But for the Indian culture, it is not appropriate. As much as a BURQA is France is frowned at! Get my drift?
I was saying the same thing.

however I don't agree that the prime Minister mr manmohansigh , & mrs Sonia Gandhi did not do anything . In the history of Independence this is first time that such high status office has gone to receive the dead body of rape victim! . This is first time in the history of Indian police administration has worked fast. They took years to file case against terrorist , those who attached the subprime hall of parliament of India .
The Indian police took usual attitude in filing case against the guard who shot the most powerful woman Prime Minister and world's most powerful Politician.
It's so sad that some men still don't realize that women are and always have been the Strength behind every man
I meant some men. I know a lot of absolutely incredible men who give their live for another human being. Sorry for my mistake.
India is NOT the 4th most dangerous country for women, I strongly believe that there are lot of countries including USA and Canada where women are raped and treated worse, yes I DON'T agree on the abuse women put up with from - I support all women's group for that but to call India as the 4th most dangerous country is brutal and that's why I am NOT signing the petetion.
Infact I will add that we Indians teat our girls/women more respectfully that many many many other nations around the world
as victim airlifted to singapore, send the culprits to Saudi for punishment- MD.Aslam.
yes they deserve severe capital punishment......... one of things I read was chemical/medical removal manhood, the bus driver should be the first to be punished
This is so sad & makes me literally want to vomit!
I address this to all men. You came into the world through the body of a woman whom carried you and sheltered you for nine months within her. That same woman loved you unconditionally, held you in her arms, fed you, bathed you, walked with you, laughed with you, cried with you and wiped away your tears. Please talk about us with your friends. Remind them of how precious women are. It is time violence by men against women stops.
Lest we forget!
