Its pure corruption of the heart when anyone in a position more powerful than those who aren't whether man or animal think they can dispose of or cause their extinction because they or it doesn't provide monetary gains. No human has has ever or will ever create another living being; therefore everything that was here and still has the GOD given right to exist here until GOD says their time is complete. Not humankind. We were placed here as a caretaker of the other creations of GOD .

Totaly agree with Ms. Landman. The canadian government has specious arguments that are not worth the paper they are written on. Murderning thousands of seals every year. Now, it is including the murdering of bears who are barely surviving global warming. NOW, human predators armed with weapons.

Michael Hartford, I appreciate that you are standing up for your country, and want people to research and ascertain the facts before they make a decision. However, I must say something about your comment "Just like those blood thirsty Aussies who go out and butcher Kangaroos and Koala Bears right?" I am not sure if you are being serious or making a point with humour, but I am concerned that others may take you seriously. Here are the facts:

Michael Hartford, I appreciate that you are standing up for your country, and want people to research and ascertain the facts before they make a decision. However, I must say something about your comment "Just like those blood thirsty Aussies who go out and butcher Kangaroos and Koala Bears right?" I am not sure if you are being serious or making a point with humour, but I am concerned that others may take you seriously. Here are the facts:
1. Some Aussies, both indigenous and white, do kill kangaroos, for meat and skins. Personally, I don't like it. However, kangaroos are not endangered. Far from it; we have millions of them.
2. Koalas are not butchered. They are protected nationally and much-loved. Anyone found deliberately harming a koala would be punished to the full extent of the law, and the community would be horrified.
3. Koalas, although they look like little bears, are not bears. They are marsupials.
Best of luck with your work monitoring and protecting polar bears; I wish you every success.

This petition is so poorly written, one wonders if the research behind it was also done with comparable carelessness and bias.

EVERY animal DESERVES love , care , and respect , and to live in an environment that it is suited to their specific needs - away from selfish , greedy , thoughtless humans Polar bears are most likely go extinct due to our climate changes and now HUNTERS!

are you saying the bears should be moved from Zoo's? where its HOT unlike the Arctic. If they can live in a Hot places in the zoo's and live off vegetables and be stress in cages how much more can they live even if there is climate change in the Arctic where the food is abundant? I think the zoo keepers are the ones that are selfish distressing the bears in cages for the show, tell lies and blind people
