First off, No other President in history has faced the kind of criticism this President has had to face. People feel that "we will NEVER have another white President in the WHITE house, now that we have a black president!" This is stupid, and shows just how far this country has slipped. People need to GROW UP! The office of President is to be respected, at ALL times. No matter who holds it. This President is to be VERY respected for maintaining his cool and not responding (in public) to this...

Secondly, the person who made that comment has no feelings of respect/sympathy for the families of Newtown, and what they are going through. The person making that comment needs to grow up, and look around them, or move to another country!

Michael L. Fisher, THANK YOU. I couldn't have said it better myself. There are disgusting people of ALL races. There are racists of all colors and some of them feel as though they have the right to be racist! That's the sad part about it. These poor people in Newtown are suffering, and STILL, some a**holes have to find something to be racially divisive about. It's hurtful and sad.

I was born in the deep south in the early 60's and I still remember the black only schools, bathrooms, water fountains, etc. I even remember when the black children had to wait until the white children finished swimming at the public swimming pool. I hated it then and I hate it even more now. Although the black schools and signs are gone, that's just cosmetics. It sickens me to know that as a nation, although we've grown, we are NOT there yet and it's due to ignorance. To me it's pure evil...

When will people realize we were all created by one God and in His image. Underneath it all we are all the same and to me having different color skin is the same as having different color hair or eyes. When President Obama was speaking Sunday night, he was trying to pull a nation together to show our fellow Americans who were affected by this horrible tragedy that we were there for them. supporting them. This person by his disrespect to our President, is just trying to pull our nation further apart. I'm a veteran and I fought for our freedoms, even freedom of speech. I don't believe you can use the excuse of freedom of speech to be hateful to another person, especially the President of the United States. Again, it's pure ignorance talking. I pray for the day the word racism is removed from our dictionaries and we can truly live as One Nation.

I love your thoughts, thank you! For a person to carry around hatred is a heavy burden that takes a lot of energy. It is sad to hate merely because the color of someone skin. Hatred is like a cancer that eats away at you! Hatred is what caused this tragic and others that has occur in the past and in the future! That is what bigotry and hatred brings! When you cannot open your heart to someone loss because this disease of hatred is eating away at you taken over your mind and your heart, this is serious and sad!

However, if one of those school children getting shot was one of those football watchers, would've been a whole different story, I'm just saying. GodBless and...

Wilhenmenia, I was speaking with an African American man today at the drug store about this story. He told me just last week a 5 yr old little boy called him the "N" work. Now, he couldn't figure out how that sweet young face could say such a cruel word, so he couldn't help himself and asked the little boy, "Who told you I was a "N"? The little boy shocked by the question said, "My Mom!". As Parents, we need to take our responsibility of raising children more important. It's a shame you...

Yes we want to watch football but the N word is not civil. He is our President, like him and his politics or not. The position demands respect. No matter what. He was elected by the majority of voters. He could of come on at 1/2 time and not aggravated certain types of people. As President, even though he is a Black American, he has the right and the position and the power to go on TV whatever is on. I didn't vote for this ultra liberal, I do not care for his politics but he is our leader...

He can interrupt any program he chooses whenever he chooses. That is his right as President. We must respect that right no matter how distaseful it may seem to some people. Race has no bearing on his position. All races like it or not are equal. It is a shame that people still have the nerve to use that word on any selfrespecting person. Especially the President. So if the President wasn't "black", they'd be willing to listen? Of course, I'm being sarcastic. I have no problem if people don't like his policies, but what the hell does his race have to do with anything? "Football" is not more important than these poor, innocent children who lost their lives and their families who are grieving. And for the idiot that said he was "hurting families" by addressing it, has to be a complete ASS. It seems as though this poor man can't get a break. If he had...

If he had not said anything, he's be called an "insensitive n****r", among other nasty, racially divisive names. I have never seen a President who has been so DISRESPECTED in all my life. He is JUST AS MUCH White as he is Black, and his WHITE mother apparently did an excellent job raising him. The President met with EACH family individually and paid his respects. I willing to bet most decent people wish they could do the same. But since we can't, at least we can take pride in knowing that the Commander in Chief did so. Even people who disagree with his policies respected him for that. However, I have noticed and seen first hand that MOST of the people that do not like him hate him because of the skin he's in and that is despicable. I wasn't a Bush fan, but NEVER was his color a reason, and I still respected him as our President. Lastly, I can guarantee each and every one of you that all these cowards with "internet balls" wouldn't be so bold to say this trash in public. It just goes to show that racism has not gotten better in this country, it has only gotten WORSE. Smh...

we all in America thought racism was a thing of the past, but when it comes to being fair and just,America has not reached that point of morality yet. you would think being a good person, a good father, a good role model, and on top of that, a good president that actually care for the country and its citizens would be something wonderful in the eyes of the people.white America as well as people of color have to change to make America great, not like it use to be,but like its never been, one...

Have any of you ever studied the history of the word "n", The word NEGRO in some languages mean black. The word "nigra" has its root from the history of slavery in America when many of the whites were uneducated used the word to demean the slaves. Throughout my life, it has amused me that whites are amazed that we have out words for them also. Also think about the fact that they themselves have demeaning terms for the Irish, the Italian, etc. Why do we as humans make ourselves feel...
