Death penalty is an easy way out for the accused. it's not really a punishment. Someone who can commit such an act is already dead in heart and soul. I say, chop off their hands and legs and most importantly, their privates and leave them all by themselves. let them feel the pain inflicted on the poor girl and her friend.

Totally Agree with Vaishali. Hanging them would be an easy punishment. They shud be castrated or get thier limbs chopped to live & die an agonizing death. Shame on India.

yes, death penalty is too easy, i hate to say this, many torture think show up in my mind to them, but the important, show the torture penalty into public, then let them die in pain. it will be example for the others who try to follow their way.

They should be hanged in public(Not only for this particular case it should be followed for all other cases related to rape).

I can not support the Death Penalty ANYWHERE for it is State Sanctioned MURDER, plain and simple! HOWEVER...I do support Mandatory LIFE IN PRISON for ANYONE Convicted and found guilty of RAPE...WITHOUT POSSIBILITY OF PAROLE OR EARLY RELEASE>>>EVER! To DIE while incarcerated in PRISON would be their lot!

just remember that this is not isolated incidence. every rape is act of cruelty. worst thing is that victim is responsible for proving that she had been raped during this she is the one who face all hardships. Policemen enquiry , cross taken in open court in front of full court and most of the time accused not found guilty for insufficient proofs. This incidence is not first and unfortunately not last. but we should unite and fight against. Rapist should prove that he is not guilty.

And important thing don`t forget this after few days any kind of rape should be taken note of by and we should stand by the woman who is victim.

I think the time has come that we start looking at all the options. We have so many parties in India and to win the vote they commit the crime which ends up in corruption. The way the President and Prime Minister has handled this problem it is a shame for us that we have such leaders who wont even come out of their mansion to address this problem to protestor. Now the time is we should only vote for the people who can work for the betterment of our country and implement some strict rules...

Now the time is we should only vote for the people who can work for the betterment of our country and implement some strict rules for such heinous crime and not for the party. I do not want to see Congress, BJP, Independent or any other party to rule us for next five years. These political leaders are our servants and when servants does not work properly they get fired. We should have the list of the people that we would like to see as our leaders... like Kiran Bedi, M J Akbar, Jaya Bacchan, Sushma Swaraj etc etc who belongs to different parties but are more capable to do more when they are not labeled as congress or BJP workers.. they are not party workers but our worker. that will help to bring down the corruption and such crime. I am in favor of Boycotting the Republic Day PM speech and function in protest... if these leader do not want to listen us they we also do not want to listen to them...

I cannot agree to the death penalty but it is a horrendous crime and they should be punished appropriately. The death penalty is too final thye should suffer in some way.

I do agree with every one demanding death penalty for the accused in rape case. But it is tragic to know that Indian Penal Code has many many loopholes and lacuneas in CrPC. which is also a matter of concern. In this case of Delhi girl rape case the govt.'s both central & state played their role patheitically. Which is shameful. Severe punishment and social boycott of such criminals is need of the hour.
