In my career I have worked with mental health patients. I am surprised to hear there is not a unit for teenagers in an area of Australia. It is an area that should not be forgotten, these teens are our future.
this is so over due, please if you are reading this , sign the petition you signature will make a difference.
This is a great idea and sadly needed....
A great cause. Catching health problems early benefits the individual concerned, the individual's family & friends, society. Also, alll health issues caught early enough usually prove to be less costly on the system in the long run. Well done campaingers.
I just want to say mental health is a major thing in australia and every one needs a hand every now and then so if we can get more places open for the people that need them, there might not be so much sadness in our country please help us.
I can't believe they don't have one..this is devastating. Good mental health of our children is paramount to our future as a nation. The government need to do something.
We need to except that mental illness can effect anyone just as a cancer could it doesn't discriminate and unfortunately no one is immune and it is sadly very common
depression affects so many people, and the government pays for only 12 free visits to a psych., so their assumption is that depression can be cured within that time frame, rubbish, they waste so much money in foreign aid, for example, $24 million to sri lanka for education, is that so when they arrive illegally by boat they can communicate to the authorities in our language>.
