Don't tell kids they will grow out of mental health when they are older so we need more mental health place's
Our young people need help not words stop talking and work towards better mental health outcomes
It will assist so many teenagers in the region to have facilities designed especially to meet their specific needs.
3hrs is that some sort of record....
Hi all, please do not sign the petition if you do not have a direct connection with Far North Queensland, eg it was your home town or you have friends or family living here. Thanks
Hi Ruth...I've signed the cause and got a few of my friends who live locally or have property in FNQ to the same. However I'm confused about the effectiveness of online petitions...are they able to be presented to the pollies or not? It's fantastic that paper petitions are going out too and your updates about local press coverage is great too. I sure hope this is successful!
My youngest daughter and I both suffer from a personality disorder, and finding affordable treatment seems to be impossible anywhere in our country. More so for kids and teens- we really need our government to stop giving mental health "lip service" and token gestures of funding. It's important to help each and every one of these kids as early as possible in life, so they live their lives as fully-functioning, happy adults.
In my career I have worked with mental health patients. I am surprised to hear there is not a unit for teenagers in an area of Australia. It is an area that should not be forgotten, these teens are our future.
Hi Ruth, I was wondering if I could possilby get paper petitions from you? This message needs to be heard and I would like contribute!
After a year of problems with teachers the education dept really needs to step up.
Ruth Crouch I commend you. Thank you for giving a voice to such a prevalent thing in our society. you really are truely amazing and have make me want more from our governments to prevent what has happened to so many of our loved ones.
