My prayers to all this innocent childrens
My heart goes out to the people of Newtown, CT. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Never forget 12-14-12!
You're wrong. Your headline disguises your language in the message, and that's not cool. In fact, it's intentionally misleading - political, agenda-driven and cynical. If that wasn't your intent, then fix it.
Now, my actual point to make: I'm ashamed of joining this cause if you wish to make this tragedy about guns and not a mature conversation about the REAL problem. What is the real problem? Mental illness, its taboo, and the broad ignorance of the more severe types and what can happen...
Now, my actual point to make: I'm ashamed of joining this cause if you wish to make this tragedy about guns and not a mature conversation about the REAL problem. What is the real problem? Mental illness, its taboo, and the broad ignorance of the more severe types and what can happen when sick or troubled people flip out. That is the problem. Talk of taking guns away is a cheap and distracting agenda. Don't cheapen this, please, don't follow the lead of an ignorant media.
No matter how inconvenient it is, we must take this opportunity to address the WHY, not the HOW, or gun violence - don't aim for cheap emotional advantage, and reactionary politics, don't focus on the wrong aspect when we have a chance to make real change. I care far more about the WHY than the HOW. You should, too. That is the right course. Let's not make this about a power play, but the real issue. The most important issue.
Sandy Hook happened not because of legal gun ownership or the Second Amendment rights of Americans, it did not happen because there are too many guns around. It happened because a person - who had what is proving, based on reports, a clear history of serious mental problems and illness - went off the deep end. If that's not the most important thing in the world to deal with right now, then you are completely missing the point to being an American citizen with intent to make this a better place to live.
I want to protect the innocent, not take guns from them.
GOD save the soul amen.
God Bless you all. Parents siblings and grandparents also count me in.
I Joined in on Friday, not for a moment of silence, but for a moment of Prayer and rememberance. All my thoughts and prayers go out to those who were affected by this awful tradgedy. I just wished that people would wake up and realize that America needs God back in our nation as well as our schools. May God bless each and everyone of you. I will continue to pray for you all.
What a terrible tragedy that will never be erased from our minds. I continue to pray for the victims and the families whose lives were shattered by evil and violence.May God watch over and protect these amazing children and the brave women who gave their lives.xoxox.
God Bless the children, teachers, and all of the families! xoxo
All guns should be returned ! In the names of all people that have been hurt and killed. Victims of guns
May the spirit give strength and comfort to the families of these precious souls. I am at a loss for words - hope for dialogue and the attention of our global community to address the issues of this most sad event.
