I went through this program. I graduated in 2007. The students and faculty were of the highest quality I'd encountered. And this was my third attempt at a BA. The Lsbor Studies Program, by the nature of the beast, required it's students to be the most rounded of all those at CPCS.

It's time for government at all levels to do an about face and function on behalf of the working class for a change. This is particularly true of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Tax the rich. No more cuts!

UMass Boston of all places should have a vibrant Labor Studies program. If its numbers are down, that is an institutional failing, not the Program's.

The labor movement has indeed been the one national organization for the working class. Degree programs like this are essential to have future labor leaders and to spread the history of the movement which regularly gets completely ignored in history books, etc.
