The criminals are not to be treated as civilians, the execution shall be instant.Even dreaming of it should be sscaring , the punishment should be like..only way is to give WOMAN fifty percent of representation in parliament.

Death by hanging them will not give the pain she suffered with. It should be more than that. They should not die with pain, they should live with pain.

Over forty years of stay in Delhi after having stayed in Kolkata for thirty years, I've seen how general public apathy, not to speak of that of police and authorities, towards crime against women has allowed situation to deteriorate here in Delhi. Even as early as 1969, when I came to Delhi, I was shocked to see almost on everyday basis, men on cycles, snatching dupattas of girls walking on roads, passing lewd comments, pinching them on private parts and getting physical with girls was common sights. What was more shocking was that the general public enjoyed the scene and the culprit leisurely moving away from the scene like a victorious champion. A number of times I got into ugly situations with onlookers trying to argue in support of the girls, but was advised by friends to restrain myself. Although things have deteriorated almost everywhere in the country, I still feel, much depends on this lack of cultural values among masses, otherwise how to explain that even while the agitation against the gang rape was at its peak in the thick of crowd of youngsters last month, widespread groping and molestation cases were being still going on as reported in news channels and newspapers. We need to sit up and introspect as to, are we as people of Delhi not responsible to have allowed this demonic trait to take its root as an epidemic among male members of our society? And now, is it not for each of the male members of this city, to take upon us to see, that no one dares to commit such cowardly acts of teasing or outraging the modesty of our mothers, sisters and daughters?
