I saw a night guard, at the library last night. We even protect our books and history, but DO NOT protect our PRECIOUS CHILDREN. I hate to say it and sorry things have to be this way, but.356 is faster, than 911. We must be allowed to protect what we are responsible for.
As a music teacher and also a retired police officer it goes without saying that the younger children need protection. There are armed guards in high schools and middle schools but none in the most vunerable elementary schools. This is not a total fix but it is a start. There are a lot of retired officers and former military out there who would be a good deterrent to start with now.
O yea coz that's sensible children should fear guns not see them as something to protect them.i absouloutly will not be signing this petition. It's terrible what's happened in America.but it could have been prevented with laws such as the uk laws.if you use a gun you are capable of killing simple as that
My son is in Spencer Elementary in Spencer, IN and he has got bullied to the point he said he wanted to take his own life! We need children, staff, AND PARENTS THE MOST. WE HAVE THE POWER! Talk to ur kids, make sure u teach them not to bully, to report bulying, and PLEASE TELL THEM WEAPONS ARE NOT TOYS! I AM A HEART BROKEN PARENT!
I have signed the petition, I would like to see a band aid over this situation instead of nothing at all being done, it is going to take many years before gun violence is controlled. I am a mother of four and on that day I closed my store early to run home to be with them. My children are 9 8 4 and 18 months, I am terrified about even thinking of sending my daughter to school for her first day of school next year. My father is a retired airforce and a reitired police officer and is now a...
My father is a retired airforce and a reitired police officer and is now a teacher. Now when I thought all the worrying was over as to if my dad was going to come home from work as a child, now I am worrying as to is my dad and children are gong to home from school, which is suppose to be a safe place. I hate guns and I think of them as they are no good, I do not even like my son's playing with them for fun but if we do have armed gaurds in the school at least many more lives could be saved and be able to prevent another horrific tragedy from happening again. My heart and prayers go to the families and love ones and first responders of Newtown.
Solo se toma unos segundos, para hacer una gran diferencia. Firmemos!
I signed it and I agree...

I agree we need safer schools, but putting more guns in our schools? I am not quite sure if that is going to work. We need GOD back in schools and back at the center of this country. My heart goes out to those families for there great loss, no parent should ever have to lay there child to rest. May GOD's love shine on them and console them during this horrible time.
besides, look at this sick society now...TSA alllowed to grope and humiliate decent people at airports....more survellience cameras all over the place....armed guards at schools, ballgames, malls, beaches, etc. check out JFK's speech at American University. he speaks of what freedom is....not a pax americana, enforced on the world by weapons of war ( one war after another in the middle east) , not the freedom of slave (which is what we are becoming, but Americans have not grasped this yet).
don't need armed guards. just bring back prayer and God back to the schools.
