There is no reason for Rhonda Lee to loose her job over something so petty. Her response was not abraisivie but was well thought expressed and more articulate than I would have been. Your station should be ashamed of itself and what it represents.

Halle Berry is of mixed-race ethnicity therefore her hair is not as course and tightly curled as other people of african ethnic backgrounds. Black women have had to endure the injustice of torturing themselves with curl straightening products, weaves, wigs, etc. for far too long trying to assimilate into this society. I thought it was finally over back in the 1970's when we began sporting our afros and braids however, as you can see there are still bigoted people who think our hair has to...

I thought it was finally over back in the 1970's when we began sporting our afros and braids however, as you can see there are still bigoted people who think our hair has to appear "white" to look "right". People wonder why some black women are frustrated and angry! Many from my generation gained weight because we couldn't exercise or swim without ruining our freshly straightened hair (back then we used hot combs heated over flames to straighten out our tight curls then used hot curlers to put looser curls into the straightened hair). We have suffered the insult of being made to feel unattractive because our hair is tightly curled when it grows out of our scalps and not straight. Racism takes many, many forms but this is absolutely one of the worst - I know because I've lived through it. I applaud my african-american sisters who have broken the barriers by wearing their hair in the many styles and forms that are embraced today - natural, braids, weaves, permed, texturized, curly, wigs, closely cropped, even bald! We are all beautiful black women!

this woman is beautiful. why would you want to "dictate" how she wears her hair. I admire her for being natural and not bowing to peer pressure. We need more women like her that will show young girls/women that it is okay not to fit into the cookie mold that society thinks we shoud.

If she don't get her job back, I am switching news stations. I am usually a faithful watcher of this station.

It is so unfare that they fired Rhonda for just a hair cut, I wonder if they would firer someone if they had CANCER and losed all thier hair an was boldheaded if not, that would be not very fair would it........

I just don't understand. I have worn my hair as low as a guy's hair. I love short hair and Rhonda's hair is B-E-A-UTIFUL! To KTBS "Nothing in the entire world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity" MLK.

This is a sad reminder of how far we still have to go in our country on race relations. I was very dissappointed on how the TV affiliate handled this situation!
