I have a question for Rhonda, Linda, & Don: Have you been a vegan all your life? I have not; therefore, should I be prosecuted, too - because "a life is a life"? Or do I get grandfathered into an amnesty program under your 100+% agreement to "prosecute just like (we) had abused or killed a human...(a life is a life.)" Or do your moral values not include pigs, cows, lambs, chickens, turkeys, fish, etc. Linda, there are five people pictured in your profile photo- are they all lifetime vegans...

Should we prosecute them if they have eaten meat (which necessarily entails abuse & killing of a "life"?

Gregory there is a difference between killing an animal for food and abusing or killing an animal "just cause". I have a friend who is a vegan and all she wants is for people just to be aware of what animals go through at factory farms and how there treated. You can't stop people from eating meat but you can at least treat them with respect even if they are going to die for others nourishment. But abusing and killing an animal "just cause" is completely different and should be treated like a...

But abusing and killing an animal "just cause" is completely different and should be treated like a crime. I don't know about prosecuting them like a human is called for but there should be alot steeper penalties then a couple yrs in prison and there definately should be an animal abuser list bc I don't wanna live next door to someone who has abused animals and wonder if I leave my dog outside is something going to happen to him or not.

Do you kill them abusively? Do you think it is fun? Do you have the ability to kill humans next? Are you shouting out for help from your psychiatric illness? Its not the same thing. We want to stop people who nailgun kittens to posts and drag dogs behind pickups for the fun of it and steal our beloved family pets.

Gregory Stuart There is a difference! I understand your question however this is more in regards to pets. If you happen to have a pet chicken that lives in your house, that you dress up, you feed you love and do whatever and someone comes in and kills it just because they can would you not want justice? I someone hurts your dog or cat badly and kills them or worse, would you not want justice? Would you not want people to know what he or she did so they never get a dog or cat to hurt and...

If you happen to have a pet chicken that lives in your house, that you dress up, you feed you love and do whatever and someone comes in and kills it just because they can would you not want justice? I someone hurts your dog or cat badly and kills them or worse, would you not want justice? Would you not want people to know what he or she did so they never get a dog or cat to hurt and torture? I am not vegan I do not eat a lot of meat. I don’t like it and the more I read about it the less appealing it is. There is a big difference, at least for me and many others, plus there is a way to do it and a way not to. However someone who abuses animals, a pet, that is different. For any human being to purposely inflict pain, severe ongoing pain, neglect, torture or yes even sexual abuse any animal for the purpose of pleasure or entertainment for themselves or for profit is not only unacceptable but not human and yes it should be punished adequately and sometimes yes a life for a life. To be able to cold bloodedly calculate and perform the horrific acts I see done to innocent animals, pets of all kinds, on a daily basis, without remorse sicken me and millions of other people and nothing, absolutely nothing but maybe a slap on the hand, if law enforcement even considers “worrying “ about an animal abuse case, is the punishment you see as a norm if any when, the sick thought process of any human to cause such pain without hesitation should be enough evidence that we are dealing with a sociopath who is the one that should be locked up for 72 hrs if that on the euthanasia list for “aggression” and being a liability to society instead of all these mislabeled dogs/animals that these labels are given to by people and then victimized again and murdered by people. That is what it is about!

Gregory there is a difference behind killing an animal in a dignified way for food and then beating and abusing an animal for no resaon other than ur on sick twisted mind. I'm not a vegan I eat meat all the time but yet I'm not gonna go down the street find a cat and burn it and kick it and stomp it to death because I think its funny those types of digraceful humans should be made to register as a animal abuser.

I understand your question about being a vegan, however, due to society we, as humans, have been raised to eat meat. Meat from cows, chickens, & pigs which is a part of life. What isn't a part of life is someone keeping a dog chained up outside all year long w/o feeding it or giving it shelter. What isn't normal is kicking a helpless kitten or fighting a pitbull

I strongley Agree with Animal Abuse Registry everywhere -they should be treated like any other Human who Abuses a Human Life. Animals are considered like a Human Being! If they abuse an animal they are a Sick Person.

Animals are smarter than most humans...they have no voice they do not deserve to be mistreated, neglected, or abused...they are lives as well..people that mistreat them are scum of the earth. They have alot of issues and don't need to be around anything living. Animals are loving creatures and deserve to be treated well..if you don't like them stay the hell away from em!

I agree we should know whom the people are this way we can make sure that the animals get good homes and are safe in the ones they are in.
