I have always been ready to do whatever is necessary to get these sickos out of commission. As a young girl of about 12 (now 81) I refused to go for Sunday dinner with my parents across the pasture because I had seen the man kick his cows. My dream was to get rich enough to take in all the unwanted, badly treated animals and care for them. I have a pretty good track record in this endeavor but not on the scale I had envisioned.

Wow ! You are my hero Ms. Marilyn. I also had dreams of doing the same and am doing the best I can. Thank you for your kindness and tenacity.

I used to be an animal control officer and experienced SO many horrific abuse cases. A slap on the wrist for beating a baby monkey with a large stick for stealing a cigarette, a kitten put in a microwave, starved dogs eating their own puppies to survive....non of these even went to jail. Arrested and released, a small fine, and a 'don't do it again'..YES I WILL SIGN THIS PETITION.

Small dog left in the back yard to freeze to death...ah, memory's of Dallas and their wonderful abilities to take care of their pets. My favorite quote from one of the county commissioners..."I don't like dogs. I'm more of a cat person". Wow how I don't miss trying to work with those heartless people.

omg Eric, that makes me so angry! I'm also a cat person, but I'd never leave any animal out to freeze! People like that should be stripped of their positions.

I feel the laws need to much more tougher than they are. If the animal is starved the abuser should in turn be starved to death. Whatever the abuser does to these poor little helpless babies, Should be done to the abuser til they take there last breath. Don't give them a chance to live and do this again... PERIOD

If we had harsher punishments it "might" deter some of these abusers. People finding pleasure abusing lives whether human or animal should automatically be given the death penalty and have it implemented quickly so they're not wasting our tax dollars living years on death row.

I support this sight. These animals cannot protect themselves.

Unfortunately, animal abusers often slide under the radar. If you see or suspect abuse, report it. A registry shines a light on the offender.

Animal abusers need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Everywhere! No exceptions!

Animal abusers are just like people with multiple DUI convictions- if they did it once-there is a chance they will do it again- I am for them as having to be listed as animal abusers and make it known loud--They don't belong in our neighborhoods.
