I presume the person who has come up with this insane idea has never had to use the Scarborough Hospital A & E department...if he/she had, then they would never have dreamt this one up?

I've used it twice for my three year old and they were excellent. Different experiences for different people. One thing though, for all its faults, if it ain't there it can't be improved.

you can thank Dalton McGuinty for this, he is likely behind the closing of the Emergency Dept. after all he is the Premier, whoever voted for him, should sign this petition, because there the ones who put him in office, and look what he has done to us, god when is the next election, but i believe if memory reminds me, he is retirinig, now that he has sucked us all dry.

The Staff at the Hospital do a fantastic job! They are friendly, efficient, and most of all, VITALLY NEEDED! I'm very proud to have one of their number as a Friend!

Last Friday night my husband, Stuart was taken seriously ill, the ambulance got him to A & E within 10 minutes, his temperature was almost 40C, this is verging on life threatening, if he had to endure the journey to York, this could have been the difference between....... I hate to think, We in Scarborough all deserve the right to have life saving treatment within reasonable reach, over 40 minutes away is not reasonable!

facilities are next to non-existent in Bridlington, now Scarborough is being compromised - lives could be seriously put at risk by the proposals if night-time emergency facilities are not available......how long does it take someone to have a heart attack and how long to get them to hospital after it, consider that.....

If this so called government had any sense they would be throwing money at the NHS, Policing and Education and they are the three areas which are being most neglected. I've had three minor day operations at Scarborough in the last yaer and they are wonderful.
