unfortunately the family is going to have to keep him with them. There is no other way to protect him from those who would abuse him.
Keeping him in our homes isn't an option. I wish it was, but medicaid won't help pay for the care he would need in our homes. They will pay for a facility. We are trying to keep him as close as possible to my sister's home so that she can visit him regularly, but there aren't enough facilities to house the amount of people that need places to live. I also am looking into hiring someone to stop in randomly once or twice a week unannounced to visit him and make sure he is being cared for.
medicaid needs to be talked to my a lawyer so you can get paid to keep him in your homes, there is no other way to insure that he won't be abused by care takers. It has to be a option. Go to DC and go to the white house and talk to Obama, make him fix this. Others get paid to care for their severly needy in home, you have to keep on it.
Not everyone can care for the needs of a disabled person. Some because of their situation, some because they don't know how, but if they need help, they deserve to get it when asked. I, personally, would care for mine, but that is because I was raised in a family with physical and mental disabilities, including an older brother with spinabifida. In my case, it would be normal for me to take care of my own, because we always have. Some can't handle it.
This is a shame.I can not understand how we can accept this.Where is the compation? If we as a.people let this happen who is to to say one of our loved ones could be next. This is totally unexceptable
Welcome to the Corporate States of Wall Street, Where the rich never need to worry about going hungry
you are laying.
this is a shame.this is only one of the things our state should worry about over other stuff that is nowhere near as important.
I think this is appalling I cannot understand how we allow these things to happen! I do remember atime when there were people being discharged to the streets from mental health facilities in NY. Amazing what goes on in this world. Good luck and please keep us updated as to this situation and this practice to just dump people wherever!
My heart goes out to all who have disabilities and are being treated like they are less than human. There ia no excuse for this treament and the powers that be should be held responsible.
Blessings going out to Colt and your family. Praying you get what you need!
I cannot even imagine being faced with a dilemma such as this! Please sign this petition, it is the very least we can do. God bless them and help them in this season of love.
I just don't understand why he NEEDS to be moved to an all male facility? If he poses no threat to other residents, then what's the problem with him living where he is? Other than someone in the facilities management just decided that he needs to be removed from where he is, for whatever reason they choose to justify for themselves!
This is a total injustice to his inalienable rights as an American! Those who oppose his existence I pray that God will have mercy on your souls...Because I...
