we should all care for those who can't speak for themselves,
Its a shame what is it no child left behind surely its not just for school kids.
There is know excuse for this. That our mentally ill are throw aways. Please sign this petition.
Lord , these people meed you to intervene in this situation and provide a home for Colt and others like him with excellent care and conditions close to family.
Love you Nikki Causey! Everyone of my friends has had this page shared to theirs and many have shared it with their families and friends! My mom always told me everything will work out exactly like it is supposed to. Keep your faith strong! You have so many people praying for you and for sweet sweet Colt!
This is no good and doesn't say much for our state or the repersenatives if this can happen to a person like Colt it.
can happen to anyone. The government needs to be aware of ALL peoples needs not just the ones that they won't to know about and take can of Texas before anyone else!
I wanted to share the update we got yesterday. This is from my sister Nikki (the one in the picture with Colt): I spoke with Colts current facility earlier and am happy to report that they have agreed to give him some extra time! This is a huge relief to me and some much needed good news! Now they didn't specify how much of an extension, but I'll take all I can get at this point. Thanks for your continued support and prayers in our time of need. I can't begin to tell you how much it means to my family.
Please spread the word and help my brother!
This is a shame.I can not understand how we can accept this.Where is the compation? If we as a.people let this happen who is to to say one of our loved ones could be next. This is totally unexceptable
Welcome to the Corporate States of Wall Street, Where the rich never need to worry about going hungry
unfortunately the family is going to have to keep him with them. There is no other way to protect him from those who would abuse him.
Keeping him in our homes isn't an option. I wish it was, but medicaid won't help pay for the care he would need in our homes. They will pay for a facility. We are trying to keep him as close as possible to my sister's home so that she can visit him regularly, but there aren't enough facilities to house the amount of people that need places to live. I also am looking into hiring someone to stop in randomly once or twice a week unannounced to visit him and make sure he is being cared for.
medicaid needs to be talked to my a lawyer so you can get paid to keep him in your homes, there is no other way to insure that he won't be abused by care takers. It has to be a option. Go to DC and go to the white house and talk to Obama, make him fix this. Others get paid to care for their severly needy in home, you have to keep on it.
Not everyone can care for the needs of a disabled person. Some because of their situation, some because they don't know how, but if they need help, they deserve to get it when asked. I, personally, would care for mine, but that is because I was raised in a family with physical and mental disabilities, including an older brother with spinabifida. In my case, it would be normal for me to take care of my own, because we always have. Some can't handle it.
