I love Northern Ireland and have experienced nothing but kindness and generosity from those that live, work or come from there. Peace is the only way forward especially for the young. The world is waiting and watching for encouragement from the Northern Ireland community. I'm a Scot, living in Scotland, and like you folk, I have a roof over my head and can put food on my families table unlike so many other parts of this world. Be grateful for what we can do and the opportunities in front of us. You can make a difference.
Nice to hear George, I am trying to bring about some semblance of Peace here in N. Ireland... I have just Launched (in January) a foundation promoting Peace through our Young... It is called Steve Carroll Foundation and is a legacy to my late husband who was shot by the cont. I.R.A. in March2009, just two days after to young soldiers were shot at Massereene Barracks in Co-Armagh. I am delighted to say that we have already awarded a Scholarship to a student who is now attending University in Durham.
Allow peace enter our hearts and communities. We are the change the world need....

tol·er·ance [tol-er-uhns], noun - a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward those whose opinions, practices, race, religion, nationality, etc., differ from one's own; freedom from bigotry.
Violence is the symptom, what about treating the underlying illness, sectarianism?
When hard won Peace (though not perfect) is threatened (as it appears to be at present) it seems all the more precious... let's not get complacent - PRACTICE PEACE TODAY (tomorrow too!)
A cause worth supporting our community needs peace makers, and change agents...
The vas majority of people in Northern Ireland live in peace. The comparatively few troublemakers get a lot of publicity which is not a true reflection of life here. It is a beautiful country with a low crime rate, even counting the trouble makers.
