Not happy about it but pence is the governor of Indiana now. Not Daniels. He is now the prez at Purdue University. http://www.in.gov/gov/ That needs to be corrected.

actions like ag-gag are from psychos and sociopaths who infiltrate the industries and public service. sociopaths must be detected before they sleaze their way into positions that affect the public

We can let them pass this. If they do then that gives them free rein to be as cruel as they want to, because no one can report it. Appalling!

Billions of farmed animals live and die in cruel, unhealthy, and unsustainable factory farm conditions. Secrecy is what makes this system possible but hundreds of undercover investigations are slowly helping to end it. That is why the agribusiness lobby is trying to pass ag-gag: anti-free speech laws that would punish, or even jail, anyone who makes an unauthorized recording on a farm [http://bit.ly/Stop-Ag-Gag]. Farmers who do things properly have nothing to fear and should want to expose the bad apples who give farming a bad name.

The ag-gag laws are a cynical way to avoid addressing the whole issue of animal abuse in the factory farming industry. Whenever an undercover video reveals the massive abuse of the animals, the owners/managers claim innocence and assert that they do not support any kind of abuse. Yeah, right. My only hope is if ag-gag laws bills do become law and undercover agents are accused of crimes for...

Then why criminalize the whisleblowers instead of punishing the abusers? These laws must not pass. My only hope is if ag-gag laws bills do become law and undercover agents are accused of crimes for showing the cruelty to animals, the resulting publicity will ruin the farms involved. Also, if ag-gag rules punish one group of whistleblowers, then hopefully that law will apply to all. That should scare investigators who are working on other kinds of wrongs into fighting ag-gag laws too.
