If the citizens of each state have a cap on their salary and very rarely get a raise why should they get large increases with all the perks? I am sure many of the things they use are paid by us tax payers.

I think the same way everyone is they are ove rpayed and are taking our money they should have to be set on, once they are out of office, all pay, benifits and perks should be done with and let them pay for there own insurance and like we have to pay for even when we are working we still have to pay they are nothing but getting rich off use and then let them see how it is too be poor for once... We the people have worked for those benifits and what is our parents suppose to do they are to...

The Constitution is already being ignored by Congress where it states that Congress shall make no law for the people that does not also pertain to them, so I believe that as "servants of the people" they should not get paid at all if they are not in session. Benefits? Thier benefit is to be in office at all. The job of Congress is to serve and protect the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, yet they are becoming one of the Constitutions worst enemies.

You gotta love their unlimited credit cards that's paid with our tax money. Vacations, cosmetic surgery, tummy tuck for the wife & a new car. Must be nice to be a politician in this country. There are A LOT of reasons why these people need reform. The whole system needs to change. This is not how things were meant to be when our government was created. Knowing the kind of person I am, I would not feel good about using tax payer dollars for these kinds of items. The cards are supposed...

There are A LOT of reasons why these people need reform. The whole system needs to change. This is not how things were meant to be when our government was created. Knowing the kind of person I am, I would not feel good about using tax payer dollars for these kinds of items. The cards are supposed to be used for expenses while serving the country. The last time I checked, botox is not necessary to work for the people. Therefore, not an expense. How do these things get approved? Who's in charge of that? Their secretaries? We have to vote them out after a few years. Becoming a member of Congress was never meant to be a full time job w/retirement benefits. It was meant for people to do for a few years and then get voted out so they could find a laper job. If they're members for 20 yrs they get lifetime benefits. It's up to us how all of this goes down. If we don't want our money being used for all of these things then we need to change how we vote. Do research and vote out those who have been in too long and those who take advantage of the system. That's really the best way for us to have a say. Vote and vote out!

I've never got paid for a job once I was let go or quit, that's just crazy.Every company would go broke if they kept paying people after that person no longer worked there.lol And it ain't nobodies fault but our own us the people,we allow our government to continue this taking advantage of us by not pulling together.if we the people would pull together we woulda me this country so much greater like before when everybody wanted to live here and was proud of it.But now our government is trying...

They are not required to be under the Affordable Health Care Act (obamacare) and they have chosen not to give up their FREE coverage and go through the same garbage as the American citizens are required to do. El presidente was ask on a national news program in an interview if he and his family would give up the FREE health care paid for by the American taxpayers and he refused to answer the question, wonder why?
