We need a rich diversity and reforestsation of native plants, and more not less of these, to combat global overheating. And there are abundant clean, renewable and preferable energy sources available for development other than biomass (see www.350.org and www.earth-policy.org).

We would not have to resort to such things as genetic engineering to support our needs if we would start controlling our own population growths. We simply are breeding too much for mother earth, poor mother earth to continue doing so. Should we just let famines or plagues or war do their thing? Let the people who cannot feed, clothe or shelter themselves die off like the days of old? It is so easy to criticize, but without any answers or constructive solutions all I am seeing is...

Well, we wouldn't have to resort to such drastic measures as genetic engineering if people would simply stop breeding so much. Poor mother earth cannot sustain us now without such things. How will we all manage in the future if the population keeps growing? Zero or negative population growth for starters....otherwise, this is what you will get...and by the way people...what company, even the green ones, aren't in it for the profit? Are some of you that naive? sigh....complain all you...
